This share buy back is relentless. I almost find myself thinking that it would be good for the sp to stay low until it is finished. I realise its about bond issues, but it seems to be a good thing. Any sensible comments on this would be welcome. Where have most of the serious posters gone? Come back please.

Hi Tom. Are you back on board vod. You did well to get out when you did, but anybody who bought at the low 1.30's is doing well. If they keep rising at recent rates, even I, may get to my break even point. Where that is I'm sure, but a fair way do go yet. £2 would probably do it. So wish me luck, as I do you. Rumour has it you are doing ok on your recent investments? I'm off for a weeks skiing, & wont be watching the sp, but I reckon 1.50+ by the time I'm back!?

With a name like Djones, you should know more that any that a move in vod sp in the US, is dependant on movements in the $ to £ exchange rate. But I think, & hope vod opens Up on the L.S.E .tomorrow.

Gerry, I don't ride, but have a licence & prompted by moniman's post, I just wondered how much bike I could get with a 40p rise in share price. I do love motor bikes though, & have thought about getting one, but as I said I would probably kill myself as they are all so fast now days. The last bike I had was a matchless 250, not that fast. If on the other hand IvaP is right, & we go down 40p, perhaps I will get a cheap bike,like a harry carry, no brakes! Solve all my debt problems!

Longish, thanks for that. Does it follow then, that a fall in sp with low volume is a good time to buy, & a rise with low volume is a good sell? Or is that being too simplistic? As a long term holder though, for me, perhaps it doesn't .matter. Very interesting though,& thanks for your reply.

Hi Jack, Time to educate me!? Why is a 2.16 sp rise on strong volume, any better than on weak volume? O.K. perhaps the big boys are buying? but selling as well? Anyway, surely the m.m's take that in to account. To me a 2.16 rise is just that. Volume doesn't count? Or does it? & why?? Thanks J.D. & good luck.
