H-hi, What I think we would all like to know is, do have any facts to back up this allegation, or are you just being cynical ?. Can we gather that you don't actually own any vod shares? By the way, how does a bank lending money via a mortgage mean that they own the house? I had a mortgage on my house, but the bank has never owned it, technically or otherwise.
Hi Jack, sorry to ask you this question, but I have given up asking H-hi. I just wondered what you can make of his post at 8.06 about bondholders making money shorting stocks while dictating standstill tactics to the BOD in return for bonuses & hedged LTIPs. If he is correct, then very worrying I think??
Whatever you want, whatever you like, whatever you say,you pay your money, you take your choice. So stop your moaning, moaning, moaning, moaning, moaning, it will be alright!!
The last time vod was exciting was the lead up to the verizon sale, so lets hope pokers right & things get exciting later on, probably spurred on by Liberty? I can't wait! I'm so excited!
If only we had your amazing insight! What is that planet you are on again?? What is all this nonsense about retail investors holding too many shares about?? You make absolutely no sense.
Hi poker, Being an optimist & a bit of a gambler can sometimes be my downfall. However after winning £650 last year on Tiger Roll in the Grand National & £450 on Tiger Roll yesterday, I just wish the vod sp could do as well as the Tiger. Good luck, & keep positive. Nothing more positive than a big poker chip. Come on that allusive 1.50+. Can he do it. Vod the builder? Yes he can.
Another intelligent response!? Mensa candidate perhaps??!! Oh sorry I am filtered? or perhaps you just don,t listen. How is Nick (your work mate) by the way??
Another pile of plop week! Another intelligent comment from Mikey? Perhaps when you come back from hibernation in 10 years time, you might come up with something slightly more intelligent??
Thanks for your answers, what worries me is if vod did the same thing again, would it then create a disincentive for the sp to rise before vod has to buy back shares to cover any new bond issue?
Vodafone has used bond issues to raise funds in the past, & then has to do share buy backs (as is going on at the moment). As someone who doesn't fully understand the complexity of this, it occurs to me that if the the vod sp was 2.30 today, vod would have to pay 60% more to buy back the required shares. Any intelligent thoughts on this please?
