It's hard to give a definitive date for results with these things isn't it. The mice were at least couple of years ago weren't they so 6K might have been eligible for last year's award.

Maybe the judges were told something in advance, that they ought to put 6K on the list now. It would look a bit odd if the obvious 'Best Film' of the year were not actually on the shortlist for the Oscars wouldn't it?

The window for results closed on June 30th but all we officially knew before July was that *it's safe* and some people up to C5 had disease which had 'not progressed'.

When TW writes about AVCT the sp often rises subsequently, even if it takes a day or two; polar opposite of Hurst syndrome.

I still wonder if they could license an animal pharma company to develop a pet version of AVA6k. Tests would be less rigorous surely? AVCT want to keep AVA6K to themselves but clearly won't be interested in pets (having sold the animal division) when they have so many humans to save first. Could be a nice source of income.

Since late onset cardiomyopathy is a serious side effect, how to establish MTD in a reasonable timeframe when the problems might only manifest themselves years later? Maybe that's part of the difficulty in coming up with MTD now, or at least giving some modest time to see what comes out in the wash.

No it isn't a prodrug atm but AVCT could do the same as they are attempting to do with DOX (or lisence to do so).
