PXC - i have posted this here lest anyone is misled ..... for what it is worth, and we shall find out shortly, the pre-opening price of PXC has been marked up 2.35 to 16 .... whether or not that proves to be "real" and holds remains to be seen

PXC - scathing programme tonight on tv (watchdog) re "homecall" which of course pipex have just bought

ERX - i can't really comment other than to say that the sell does indeed look suspiciously like a buy given that it is so near the top of the spread shown

Adam W ..... i would say GTL where i have put money, as well as DOO and BFC in the same sort of sector ..... see the various entries on this site

jixon - i read your post just now on ERX .... you are being unfair as by and large the peeps on here are helpful and courteous ..... for sure you get exceptions, and i copped a load of unwarranted abuse myself just this morning ... however, imo, i enjoy this site very much indeed and even find it very helpful, unlike my 10 minute sojourn on advfn!

PXC - to GedW - rather my thoughts .... "methinks she doth protest too much" ..... in any case, i would have thought that it would be much cheaper for BT to acquire pxc that to develop their own wimax, and of course they would also get a huge additional customer base etc etc

PXC - 3/4/06 13:17 regulatory announcement shows UBS AG Switzerland as holder of 33.4 million shares, but apparently "non-material" which i assume they did not have to be declared ..... 4/4/06 14:01 UBS AG London has increased it's stake by 750k shares, but the Swiss holding has disappeared, but no notification as having been sold!

PXC - after the figures and announcements yesterday, i reckoned i had done well to top up at 15.25 ..... sp has now slipped a further 0.75 which surely makes this a MUST HAVE, certainly for a medium/long-term portfolio, though there may well be a turn to be made over say a week ..... i suspect today's downward pressure has been due to year end shennanigans and no more

ERX - don't really know as i haven't looked as i know i can't! .... however, GedW rates this as strong buy so under other circumstances, i would have taken a closer look

ERX - unfortunately cannot deal in this share via CFD ..... anyway, while i accept that this site's info on buys/sells is a long way from gospel, how do you KNOW that the trade for 52 million was not a sell? .... 0.27 being the traded price could quite easily be so.

MPH - this is usually a pretty dull stock, though it has been recently well supported thanks to directors buying at 19p ...... for all that, this sudden upward surge of 2.25p has no apparent cause .... that said, i note that Goldman Sachs now own 3.5% (not such a big deal) and it may be that they are putting out a strong buy note

TRX - i don't know this company at all, but just as a general observation, there are currently a good number of strange price movements, almost certainly due to the end of the fiscal year and peeps squaring their books and/or maximising tax efficiency

HML - i asked the "expert" on this (GedW!) several days ago, and it would seem just about impossible to judge ..... someone floated 8p but did not respond when i asked if 8p why not 18p ..... anyway, all still a little way off, and of course it is by no means 100% certain that a licencing deal will actuall materialise at all
