PXC - whatever next???? ..... agreeing with GedW yet again ...... being an even tastier t/o morsel was something i voiced/suggested 2/3 days ago, but no one wanted to agree or otherwise.

GTL - i have already posted as STRONG BUY several times, but i confess KEVJ that the article you quote does not really enhance anything very much ...... rather typical US political window-dressing if you ask me (which you didn't!)

FAO - i have been watching this share but have not dabbled ..... my only concern is the rather unspecific "The Company will update the market regarding the financing of its development programme in due course" ...... given that this was meant to be completed by the end of April, one would have thought more optimistic noises could be made if all was going smoothly ...... perhaps just my natural cynicism!

PXC - many thanks for your typical useful contribution ..... glad also that my own gut feeling reflects your more analytical view ..... as PXC is already my largest holding apart from VOG, i am not sure i dare risk more .... but i may yet be tempted!

GLA - and what is the compelling logic to suggest a realistic fair value of 35p ..... or even half of that?

UBT - dhillon and others - don't get too greedy ..... if sp has increased x2.5 in 3 days, there is an awful lot of hope and blue sky already written in and assumed ...... only a few weeks ago, too many "friends" were sucked into HML in a similar scenario with very nasty results.

PXC - from what you guys have posted, for which many thanks, the 20% drop in PXC sp is even more ridiculous ..... If idid not hold so many already, i reckon i would be diving in at these levels ...... but as i am unsure as to whether there is something hidden of which i (we) am unaware, have posted as WEAK BUY, though my inclintaion is that strong buy is warranted

PXC - thanjks for that info, which at least does not confuse me any more than was already the case! ...... However, the nub of the question is whether or not PXC are or would be particularly harmed by this move CPW and, almost as importantly, either way, does it (in your opinion) make PXC more vulnerable to t/o?

PXC - while one would much rather see a sea(!) of buys, it is very noticeable that most of the sales are <50,000 = <£6k - i.e. very small holders, possibly or even probably T10/20 traders who are being forced to close either through margin call or time pressures

PXC - from an analysis point of view, GedW's opinion would be more than useful ...... from a technical point of view, i confess to being a bit confused, not least because i do not understand the correlation between CPW offering bb on mobile phones and PXC who, as far as i know, are an isp or similar primarily to business users and their computer systems and networks ...... i am sure i am being very stupid in that respect, but can someone explain in words of one-syllable English! To continue ..... if the PCW development will affect the likes of BT and AOL, as their margins are clearly under medium/long-term threat, does that not make PXc and even more likely t/o target as the company is also enhanced by its wimax licence? Perhaps i am talking rubbish, but if so, i am sure there plenmty here who will tell me so.

How you may ask? ...... Easy! Lots of us getting crucified!! ..... Wouldn't it be fun to have a good day or two with EME nVOG +20/30, PXC +2 and perhaps HML up another 1p or so ...... The latter may happen before the break, but I am afraid the others may stay as the weather

CSR - thanks for the pointer ..... on the basis of that, i have cashed in a tasty little profit, though it was quite a bit greater a few days ago .... figures are not now due for 4/5 months, but if sp falls back below £11.00 again, i shall be looking very closely to reinvest, bearing in mind the new Sony Playstation is due for launching (at long last!) in November

% gains/losses - merely an observation - a number of "friends" get very excited when they see their chosen stock has moved say 25% ..... unfortunately, the spread pertaining may be 15-20%, so the gain is less than minimal eespecially when other dealing costs are taken into account

COMMODITIES cont'd - the gist of the article was that there is, in particular, a mistaken belief that copper usage is ahead of supply ...... the article asserted that though supply was tight, there was no actual shortage ...... it follows that the rampaging hard metal price, inevitably reflected in sp of the various companies, was possibly or potentially getting out of hand.

PXC - it is suggested that there is a logical(?) correlation between yesterday's announcement from carphone warehouse and the fall in sp of the likes of pxc ..... My question is, if pxc's position is indeed "damaged", does that not make pxc an even more likely t/o target? ..... i would have thought so, but would like to hear from others who have a greater understanding of such matters

COMMODITIES - a good and eminently sensible article on page 2 of today's telegraph biz section raises the valid point that hard commodity prices, and thus the relevant stocks, are getting far too far ahead of themselves ..... gold is slightly "excused" from this scenario, for reasons stated in the article ...... we should all be conscious that another bubble may well be building and thus its inevitable conclusion.

KCOM - with the collapse of t/o talks, i cannot see sp recovering in the near future .... that said, i cannot see kcom remaining independent either, though Hull CC will have to tread a careful path between being stupidly overoptimistic about the value of the shares, and giving away the shop too cheaply.

RPT - for once discretion was the better part of valour, or i would have strongly seconded your opinion of RPT (vs FAO) ..... only racing certainty was that RPT would fall today, which it duly did ...... possibly or even probably has further to tumble, but i have more than enough open positions already to warrant putting monmey where my mouth is.

Not quite sure to what you allude, but with luck it will quickly become The Empire Strikes Back as sp recovers strongly!
