They all had "third party" shareholders that were due to be the "white knight" in each case - though, as was proven, not everyone can make water into wine. There should be some bargains in the market at present but so few of those bargains are willing to accept the start reality that "times have changed" and most are still looking for pre Covid valuations that, in the current climate, look unsupportable....

I suspect that if we haven't heard anything positive by the end of the week we will get another two months extension which would take us to the end of October. That said, whilst I do believe that we will get the approval and whilst we may end up having to wait until after the elections, how much after the elections we will need to wait I would not like to guess. There I hope that our new board members and APT between them might be able to bring about a speedy resolution.

And Frank , fwiw I do not think that ARA will "pull the plug" - I simply recognise that (as has been the case for years and years) even ARA are not in control of events here and even if they continue to support AEX, how can long can AEX hold out? Where do they get the cash flow to support their business? The BOD have admitted that they need a partner (to keep the lights on until the Ntorya income) but we have not heard a dicky-bird about that have we? I suspect that any conversations on that score are totally contingent on the Farm-Out approval because I do not think that Kiliwani is sufficiently attractive on its own to bring in a partner (too many uncertainties in Kiliwani, as discussed before). Consequently all hangs on the Farm-Out approval and I fear that we will be waiting until after the election for that.... I hope I am wrong but every week that passes makes it appear more likely: unfortunately.

Often what happens is that the company gets to within a few weeks of the 6 month time limit and then comes up with an announcement that they are in (confidential) talks with one or more third parties regarding an RTO and then suspends the shares for months on end.

I have been in three such cases in recent history, one of them currently; suspended since early April. Will it ever reappear?

Really? What evidence is there that there are any negotiations? Indeed why do you need to negotiate a "signature"? I suggest that any negotiations have long since concluded and that we are now simply reliant on the caprice of Magafuli and his henchmen to get it over the line....

Except imac that MRx-4DP0004 is likely to be one of many treatments for the symptoms of COVID and just as importantly, if (a very big if) and when the Pharma industry comes up with one or more successful vaccination treatments for COVID the subsequent need for treatments dramatically reduces. It will be just one of an increasing number of treatments for the symptoms of a disease that will be in significant decline....

Well personally I am still in the black on AAOG - losing a load on my current holding but made a good profit on the rise from 6p to 18p in early 2019.

Blimey it seems impossible to imagine that this was 18p some 18 or so months ago. The bloody board should be locked up...

My point, Apache, being that when you are an investor in AEX you can never take anything for granted. The team are always capable of grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory ... ;0)

Add that to their operating in the most inhospitable political climate and nothing can be guaranteed.

Off market trades are required to be reported to the LSE before the end of the day, on market trades are reported immediately, unless the MM requests to delay the report (on;y under certain conditions); though even if it is reported late the time of the trade should be displayed and the price can be compared to the market price at the time of that trade.
