I would be surprised if they did that btw but hey, I wouldn't rule out any possibility in Tanzania. Nor, in that event would I rule out APT buying AEX - if only because it would prevent a third party from doing so. If as you suggest AEX needs a "merger", what would stop that merger becoming a de facto "take-over" - by which I mean a merger on inequitable terms? Unlikely perhaps with ARA still owning 30% but who knows - a moot point.

The three things that you point to have taken over eight years and the license extension was two years overdue, the KN 25 year Dev license has been sitting dormant for over three years and the Farm-Out was on derisory terms (in my opinion anyway).

How many things could you point to that have not been delivered over the last 4/5 years; and no I won't write a "list" but I can immediately think of at least three significant "failures". Though I will freely admit that (arguably) all but 1 are wholly down to the totally chaotic and dysfunctional Administration in Tanzania. The problem being that I have absolutely no confidence that that chaos is likely to change significantly any time soon - hence my skepticism of the timing of that F/O approval over the last 6 months and unfortunately I see absolutely no valid reason to change my attitude or opinion.

The fact that you cannot or will not accept tat simply goes to prove what a simpleton you are FJ. I can see why you keep on ploughing the same furrow - you believed everything that the "rose tinted" spectacle brigade peddled you and now you are significantly underwater and you now see that what I have been suggesting to you over recent months has been largely proven correct. I can see why you are bitter and why you have to find an explanation for it but the reality is far more simple. I have been here for years and a few more months is no significant problem for me; I have not sold any, I have not moved cash from here to any other position.

However it seems that in the world of FJ is is impossible for anyone to do anything without a monetary agenda. What a sad, sad world that is.....

BG, I have said before and I will say it again, at no point have I suggested that the Farm-Out will not - eventually - be approved. I have just never been so naively optimistic about the likely timescales as you and some others on this board.

I am sure that we will get that approval, if APT have the patience to wait long enough - which, let me say it yet again; I think they will.

On those seemingly endless occasions in the last decade when shareholders have been starved of news the inevitable cry comes form the "faithful" I wonder what the Board are doing about a, b, c; sourcing a drill, remediating Kiliwani, negotiating over 25 year development license, getting our invoices paid, you name it.....

The reality is on 99% of those occasions the answer has always been "bugger all". So much so that there is absolutely no point speculating.

Yes BG I know very well what you were referring to but to go from that to a "I wonder how the merger is progressing? " is something of a leap of faith don't you think? There is no indication that there will even be a "merger" let alone that progress is being made towards one. Moreover the last thing I have when we are talking about Tanzania and AEX is "faith".... But I am not going to return to that topic of conversation a number of you have already drained that swamp.

BG, just to make clear I have never denied that the Farm-Out is likely to happen; indeed quite the contrary. I have, however consistently made my opinion clear that past performance would lead me to believe that it would be a lot longer arriving than many here suggested. Nothing more than that. I also think I have been proven to be correct; not that I take any pleasure from it.
