I am not suggesting it does BG, I am simply suggesting that whatever they may be proven to be worth after the drill is a total irrelevance if Solo no longer hold their 25% at that point. Therefore the "proof of the pudding" has nothing to do with the drill nor the subsequent value of the assets.....

That presupposes that Solo will still be holding their 25% until after the Drill bit is turning BG. I do not necessarily belive taht is their intention...

It doesn't say that at all; it simply says it attributes a valuation to their 25% of more than the market currently does.It makes no claim about the figure. AEX will eventually $5m of cash and $35m of "credit", which loosely would attribute a pro rata price of $2.5m and $17.5m of "credit" to Solo's 25% but there is no way that $17.5m of credit would equate to $17.5m of cash or cash equivalent. So I would heavily discount that component personally - by 30 -50% in my view.

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating, methinks BG....

Yes GL, exactly as they did 5 years ago and yet here we still are with the country having achieved nothing in the intervening period; there have been no new completed Gas projects during the last administration with the exception of KN1 and we all know what happened to that....

MAX you would be right in asserting that AEX are, at least nominally, the current Operator of the Ruvuma License but it is very much in name only. Do you really think that AEX and the AEX board will be running the drill plans and arrangements? The drill will only happen when and if APT are in control so it will surely be APT that will be the contracting party for any Drill provision..

I do not think today's news is bad news; the vast majority of people were not expecting anything else. Bad news would have to have not got an extension at all....

Quite right BG and do you seriously think that the Tanzanian govt are going to tell the AEX Board if and when they are going deign to approve it....? Fat chance. Moreover even if they had been given an indication it would have been "unofficial" and not for public consumption.

Plus as I was saying below if the last 3/4 longstop extensions were ever timed in expectation and anticipation of Farm-Out approval, then they will have been given a bum steer 3/4 times already. So is the September longstop date an indication of approval before the end of September? Possibly but, as in each of the recent extensions, I won't be holding my breath. There is no correlation between the extension and the date of approval.

Just to point out ladies / gents that we have had "one month" extensions before and what has that been proven to indicate what exactly? Absolutely nothing......

I would guard against assuming that, just because we have a one month extension, the election is an irrelevance on Farm-Out approval. I would admit that the Election may, or may not, be relevant in the timing of the approval but I would suggest that the date of the long stop has never been an indication of anything and anyone that thought it was has been proven wrong. We have had how many now? 5? What were they an indication of? Only that no one (including the AEX Board) has a clue when we will get that approval.

So Tanzania are you seriously suggesting that anyone posting or anything posted on this board can have had any influence whatsoever on BH's departure?

So, many on this Board were suggesting yesterday that we would see £1.25, £1.50 and even £2.00 before the close of play, based purely on yesterday's RNS. Those fanciful predictions look a bit silly now. I wonder how many are still invested?

So yes any potential new investors need to do some meaningful due diligence on this before investing; there are many here who simply want you to support their "exit strategy".

This is a long term buy in my view but as recent performance suggests there will be many ups and downs along the way and this is not a short term trade - it is just as likely to fall from here as rise, in the short term - in my view of course.

That is a ridiculous question Frank as "we think" means something different to everyone out there....
