Surprised about the loan conversion for the final instalment. At least it's out of the way now.

Will we see an SP movement today? Would bee good to see this moving back up on each news release from now on.

Well, the mythical 'code 1' RNS did not materialise (quelle surprise), so why not a UT-based one first thing tomorrow?
It could be a new thing!

As a relatively new shareholder here (circa 4 months), I am pleased with this update.
I will reserve judgement on the comms front, but look forward to seeing the improvement here.
I am looking forward to a big 2021 for AFC and hope the company can grow as this sector is definitely going to take off with plenty of government funding, but will take the Zeus SP target with a pinch of salt.
Positive, but keeping my feet on the ground, I will always be happier for expectations to be exceeded.

I liked Klunk's typo about an 'RHS', but will use that to suggest that AFC have now planted the seeds for future growth!

Good to see TH2 has topped up yet again.
More regular buying from him than even Tymers over the past year, and always at these 'cheap'. or 'bargain' prices, and always at the expense of the 'impatient', or those who have not researched properly.
Must be close to making a TR1 on that regular buying basis.
Unless, of course, TH2 has also been trading it like Tymers, but never, ever mentioning any of his sells?

Meanwhile, we all wait for that 'success' which will change things very quickly here. It is more than 2 years that this has been repeated daily from the outset of the June 2018 EWT, after all (SP 1.125p and 4.5bn shares in issue - at cob 15 June after a £5.5m placing).
I note that all the positive posts indiciating imminent success here all include the phrases 'could' and 'should', as well as referring to suitably vague/optimistic timelines.
Despite all this, good luck to all. It has been a horror show for far too long here, but maybe we will soon see a plan of action to get behind that offers a glimmer of hope.

There is no constant closed period.
The CEO (and other directors) are only in a closed period prior to the final and half-yearly results (30 days, I beleive).
So many bulletin board myths perpetuated by investors who have so much knowledge about a company, but so little knowledge about the investment process.
Very convenient excuses by the indoctrinated, if you ask me.

The Riverfort RNS may not be important, and it's pretty much nailed on that it will be paid in cash, but as I posted, it could hint at a return to the old, sloppy comms from Angus, and only gives fuel to the noisy (filtered) crew who just love to spend all day bashing here, using even the smallest thing to show that everything here is doomed to falure.
When these people have been posting non-stop for over 5 months, repeating the same tiresome arguments, and being deliberately disruptive and misleading with their facts and figures, small things like this do not help.
Is it that hard to set a monthly reminder to review, check and announce a known event like this, even with all the bigger things going on?
When the comms has been (mostly) good to excellent (compared to the past) over the past 20 months or so, and the IQ's being a good source of non-material updates/clarifications, timely attention to this seemingly 'trivial' matter is disappointing to see

Disappointing not to get an update on the final instalment of this facility (due 24/10, so Monday accounting for the weekend).
The last 2 notifications were also late (1 and 2 business days), so I hope this slippage of 'housekeeping' (now at 4 business days) is not a sign of a move back to 'the old Angus' on the communication front.
Last time the delay on this RNS update was posted here, the RNS followed quite quickly after (coincidence?).
I have also dropped the company a quick email as a reminder of this notification. Let's see if anything is forthcoming ahead of the weekend.

I will wait for Tymers to post his 'informed' prediction (ahem, wild guess).
From every sinlge one of his previous predictions over the past 14 months, the actual SP has been between 7x and 10x lower, and these pevious attempts have proven to be a reliable and accurate indicator of the likely reality here, factoring in for this discount. The 'Tymers method' is clearly the future of SP predictions. :-)

I was sceptical about how much, if any, AFC would get mentioned in the launch, so was pleasntly surprised (I only watched up to the reveal of LH team levery and his interview).
An RNS and additional press coverage mean a good day for AFC with regard to comms, raising awareness and interest in the company (imo).
Hopefully this leads to a sentiment change here and the start of a period of good news, sales, etc
Good to see an SP rise, just need to capitalise on this opportunity now.

Interested to know what evidence you have seen that could indicate that an RNS has possibly been logged, and who could possibly see this.
My understanding is that it is a secure electronic system that can be used for instantaneous, or delayed submission (e.g. logged overnight for 7am release), but that due to the secure transmission and queuing of any logged messages, the only people aware that anything has been logged are the company (or their representative) that have made the submission.
No one (MM's etc) as far as I understand it, would be aware via the RNS system that anthing had even been logged until it has been released to the market, so wouldn't any 'inkling' have to come from a verbal source communicating the fact?
I do agree that if it was at all possible to see that an RNS had been logged electronically, the content would not be known/visible until the time of release to the market.
If you could shed some further light on this, would be interested to understand the process further.

Hopefully, there won't be a computer glitch like with the live launch of the E1 powerboat series.
Will be looking out for some AFC logos on the team liveries, but not expecting anything more than a re-tweet from AFC twitter

There has to be an expectation that some major funding for a UK Hydrogen strategy will be announced, especially given the vast sums of money (billions of euros), Germany and France have recently allocated to this sector.
Tens of thousands of jobs expected to be created (direct and indirect) in France alone over the next 10 years

Not seen the film, and not an expert either, but there is an IQ on the company website from 20 July 2020 that talks about the pipe (if this is the same one):

The principal constraints on pipeline internal diameter are the maximum designed operating pressure (which in this case is over twice the maximum anticipated delivery pressure of between 45 and 70 bar) and the velocity of flow of this volume of gas. Very high velocities result in higher temperatures and erosional issues and are generally avoided for that reason. The resulting velocity increase at the narrower internal diameter of 4 inch vs 10 inch is still comfortably within normal ranges for the transmission of grid specification gas in the UK.

It is more likey that many of the posters here are shareholders who are anywhere between 50% and 95% down on their investment due to the complete faiure to get anywhere close to completing any of the work outlined in the Jan 2019 Operational RNS to cover drilling for 2019/20.

"Portland production target of 720-1,080 barrels of oil per day ("bopd") from the first horizontal well, which has been externally verified as a realistic and viable"
" Subsequent horizontal wells in 2020 are designed to boost gross production to over 2,000 bopd"

This is all just from HH and ignoring everything else that was expected from the drilling campaign.
We are likely to be producing on average 1/10th of the projected amount of oil by the end of 2020 to what SS was forecasting.
No surprise then that the SP is 87% down compared to the date of that RNS release, and with many more billions of shares in issue.

Topping up weekly for over a year at the current 'bargain price', but admitted to trading to reduce his average, despite NEVER mentioning any Sell trade on here. Apparently, it is a sensible strategy for any ramper to do this, despite anyone else being labelled a swampie trading troll for doing the same. What a hypocrite

Has consistently been massively out with his SP predictions by anywhere beteen 7-10 TIMES the actual SP on his predicted timescales. So little credibiity.

Despite al the above, Tymers would stil be a better candidate for CEO than SS as at least he is invested, communicates his (unimaginative) thoughts regularly, is a successful businessman and apparently a good boss to boot.

Next week we should also get an RNS for the final Riverfort loan facility repayment too (last RNS stated 24/10 payment date).
Expecting to see this paid in cash, as for previous instalments.

You do realise that an (E)GM is an Extraordinary General Meeting (and not Emergency, as seems to be implied by the responses I can see)?

My understanding is that a Director is only in a closed period in the run up to the annual and half-yearly accounts, so this would be 2x 30 day periods in the Financial year.
Price sensitive information, can and must always be released as soon as it is known.
A Director also CAN trade in a closed period if it is due to exceptional circumstances, but only if agreed by the bod.
You could argue that a trade to cover a house purchase is an exceptional circumstance.

Personally, I do not see the problem with this RNS, either the timing, or the 'message' it may be sending to the market.
The volume of posting suggests otherwise, whether the posts are objective on the matter, or not.
