Of course the results can't be changed or new information added. Peer review and publication are still big news though - these are things that the FDA and EMA etc will want to see. It shows the validity of the trial and results.

There will be bigger news to come (hopefully) but at the start of November we were looking at all the major milestones coming up. Peer review and publication was one of them, so can we not just enjoy it?!

Never saw the bit about the Lancet - brilliant. Hopefully a good day tomorrow will mean we all have a nice weekend to look forward to.

My expectations have now changed a bit. I will be over the moon if/when we see 200p again.

Just now sitting with a big enough loss but have decided to hold and either lose the lot or make it all back - and maybe then some.

Agreed, without news gains will be slower than we may like a d we may get further losses with vaccine news.

I think most of us are now looking into the longer term for returns.

Some of us have no money left to top up!

Today would be a good day for some news. Now the hysteria over the vaccine has passed and confidence has started to return, good news would be welcome by all.

I wouldn't be overly surprised if we ended up back in the 80'son the back of virus news but then maybe not. Maybe the damage has already been done with that first announcement.

Over the next few months I still expect us to get back to at least the previous highs we have seen before. Regulatory approval and SNG001 being available should see to that.

It's a shame because we all had high hopes for November and so far it's very much a damp squib - but we've seen how quickly things can turn on good news.

They will be publishing some data soon but I doubt it will be in the Lancet.

I suppose the question is how hard it will hit our SP. Maybe already factored in?

I have been saying for a while that I believe SNG are following a smart strategy. If you check my history I actually mentioned recently that there would be some logic behind the 100k figure but I couldn't figure it out.

Now I believe that SNG are working on an assumption that at least one vaccine will be available and they are focussing on the people who will need SNG - not scaling up to save the whole world.

We know SNG have links to big pharma, so I suspect they have always known the progress being made it vaccine trials.

The end game for me always seems to have been to sell to a big pharma. I wouldn't be surprised if the Astrazenica trial shows very promising results and they also snap up SNG001. They then become a one stop big pharma shop for vaccinating and treating Covid.

Maybe that's just wishful thinking but there have been plenty of clues throughout.

People may question why would Astrazenica (or AN other pharma) not buy SNG sooner? They are pouring all their time and efforts into a vaccine. So why not just let us go it alone, maybe offering some advice and pointers along the way (remember "the partner"?) To keep both vaccine and treatment moving at pace.

My bottle crashed yesterday and I sold the lot at 112p. I then saw a bit of sense in the evening and got back in today at 103p.

I think we might be in for a rough few weeks. Pfizer will be announcing more results and going for FDA approval, which may hit us hard again.

There has been other big Covid related news on the testing front. The trial in Liverpool seemed to go well and quick,mass testing should shortly be available in the UK.

Even if we take these at face value (a vaccine which is 90% effective and robust testing, one thing is still missing - effective treatment.

Richard Marsden said it himself, the key to combatting this virus is testing, treatment and vaccines.

There is still a huge gap in the market for an effective treatment and I really hope that is where we come in. It might mean that we're not suddenly going to become millionaires over night but at this stage I can live with returning to profit and being part of something that helps the world get back to normality.

Keep up the research, look behind the headlines and the figures,and don't forget, we have good news coming this month too.

I don't think we will see an RNS. I suspect SNG will wait for the noise to calm down a little before releasing anything but you never know.

Expect the market to take some time to settle. Wouldn't be surprised if we open down a little asthe focus will be on vaccines just now, but that's pure guesswork.

Pete - if it trebles then there will be a lot of people willing to buy from whoever wants to take their profits and sell.

The government have backed themselves into a corner.

The four week lockdown takes us to the beginning of December. There is no chance whatsoever that a vaccine will be approved and ready in such a short time, so let's rule that out.

The government can't come out of lockdown with no alternatives. Doing so would make them look utterly incompetent and see a real turning of the tide against them from all angles.

So, they need to come up with something. If talking about better therepeutics and treatments then Synairgen would seem to be as well placed as anyone - but nothing is certain.

You can be sure that the government are aware of Synairgen. They will be leaving no stone unturned to get themselves out of the position they are in. Regardless of what you think of them, they need to come up with some answers to save their own reputations and political careers.

I may be in the minority here but I'll just wait for news from Synairgen themselves or them being specifically named somewhere.

Good luck trying to second guess what BOJO, or anyone else, might mean when they are talking - the man barely knows what he means himself at the time!

I'm not holding my breath either. Brilliant if it turns out to be true but even then it is unlikely to lead to such a big jump that I would be selling.

Mr Big - this was the breakdown of patients who were given the placebo v those who were given SNG. So the majority of patients given SNG were actually at level 4 - therefore you could argue they were in a worse position than those given the placebo based on that single measure.

If we didn't believe then I don't think we would be here.

It didn't happen today. It probably won't happen tomorrow. It might not even happen this week, or even this month. There is news coming though and that news has the potential to make your 5x multiplier look small fry.
