The UK government have already got themselves covered in this respect.

Remember the RNS and media release following publication in the Lancet which talked about P3 being run as a national priority and this being a great British success story.

Any questions and the government can deflect straight to that to say they are/have supported Synairgen.

Do you expect we'll see an announcement from the US government today on the addition of ourselves (and presumably others) into Activ-2?

Could we even be mentioned by name by President Biden himself? He is going to be facing all sorts of questions about how to handle the pandemic, so not impossible.

These sorts of things would really raise our profile globally. The RNS is fantastic news but will only have a limited reach.

Yep, through a combination of tiredness and distraction by other news, I may have misinterpreted that.

Not to worry, we all make mistakes. Just look at the person on the last reported trades who sold 12,500 shares @ 16:29:54 on Friday. Now there was a mistake!!!

Interestingly.....that means the first international patient was dosed before the first patient in the UK.

I wonder where they were based? Will almost be finished their course of treatment now too.

The trend is upward on a weekly basis. Might be a few who sell off tomorrow if no further news they will buy back in before the end of the week.

Even if no official announcement on Activ-2 by the end of the week I suspect we will hear a lot from America on their plans to cope with the pandemic. Biden will want to make his mark quickly.

Don't think we'll go above placing but you never know, might be some buyers in the market for treatments off the back of Biden's plans.

I suspect we need the Activ-2 announcement to make any serious gains. It'll be interesting to see what impact that has if/when it lands.

I agree that it's good to look at different perspectives and be objective so welcome different views on the board.

I don't welcome people who deliberately come on to start arguments. I actually find it sad that someone who isn't invested in the company would spend this amount of their time posting on an investment forum. You have to question the mindset of someone who does that.

There are loads of companies I don't believe in but I would never dream of going onto a board to persuade others not to invest.

Was out walking the dog and having a think about our P3 trial and wondering what impact new variants may have?

Will measures be taken to ensure the number of people given SNG001 and the placebo have the same strain of Covid?

Or potentially could we have a scenario where there is a bias on either side towards a more dangerous version?

If more people given the placebo have a more dangerous variant this could skew figures in favour of SNG001. Alternatively, if more in the SNG001 group have this then the impact could be the other way - yes SNG001 should still treat it but the patients in the control group are surely not quite as "at risk".

I am sure this has all been considered in the trial design but these are the things which occupy my mind at the moment!!

In all seriousness though, SNG look like they are getting their ducks lined up and are absolutely preparing for success. Those four roles alone will be circa £250k in wages.

For those who say "if not needed for Covid there is always COPD" - forget it. This is all in for success in the here and now.

Those placing shares were not sold to your average private investor looking to make a quick profit. These will have gone to people focussed on the long term vision of the company and looking to make big money.

It's a short delay which should be resolved early next week. No need to panic, better to know about it though than it to be hidden so glad it was mentioned in the RNS.

Have you seen some of the posters on here, that's a very dangerous assumption to make!! (Only joking before anyone gets offended).

Be careful with the comments, this is no "free path to heaven."

One thing to be confident and optimistic but until the outcome of the P3 trial is known and orders are in, there is still an element of risk here.

I don't think it's weak at all. People invest in things for so many reasons and we don't know peoples personal circumstances either.

If people are getting out now with a profit, especially if they had to buy in and average down, then food luck to them.

Any profit is good - just my personal opinion though that this still has a lot of legs left in it. A lot of people have held through difficult times so it does feel that selling when we are finally on the cusp of something is perhaps a bit shortsighted.

Not sure if we will break through today, may need a couple of pushes if we are to do so.

Won't be long though. Any news about progress in America will see us comfortably over that. Hopefully not long until we are mentioned by name.

Zwart - you keep going with this view but no evidence to back it up other than a presentation from a few years back.

The big pharmas have missed the boat for the time being. The time for a buyout was about 6 months ago.

Now the BOD have undertaken the placement and set up global trials etc they will be seeing that through. The next opportunity for any sort of buy out will be after P3 is finished and the treatment is being distributed, that way at least people will be properly remunerated for the work to get to that point.
