No idea what's going on but my share account looks a hell of a lot better.

I know we all want to see this fly but remember, although there have been some press articles, nothing has materially changed since the start of the week.

Finishing anywhere in the 180's today would be good, then hold it there, gradually rising until the next news is released.

That's me trying to be sensible!!

My own opinion is that we won't hear anything about order volumes until EUA is granted.

I'm sure these discussions have taken place behind closed doors though and both parties have an idea of what is required.

Am I right in thinking part of the issue with the COPD trial was to do with selection of patients? They hadn't picked patients at the right stage of illness or something along those lines, to fully show the effect of SNG001?

I could be completely wrong but after that happening before the team would have known they needed to get everything right in the Covid trials - couldn't trust it in the hands of recovery.

Things may come out in the fullness of time but I wouldn't be surprised if Recovery wanted to tweak the trial in a way which Synairgen thought it was less likely to be successful. If that was the case I wouldn't blame them at all for removing themselves.

I also wonder how much the peer review in the Lancet has helped open doors for Synairgen. I know at the time a few of us questioned the value but I think going forward it's probably helped us massively. Look at the number of small trials people post links to on this forum and even us non scientists question the methods used. Would we have got the same prioritisation we have with UK and US govts, and have raised £89m for P3 without that credibility?

I maintain the BOD are playing a blinder here and we just need to be patient for a little longer.

Next update likely from SNG when they have the first dosing. Still not expecting any big announcement from US gov though.

I agree with you Oak. We have all been thinking about it like shareholders. Of course we want a big, official announcement. It raises profile of the treatment and we all see some nice profit when the SP inevitably rises.

If you think about it from the perspective of Joe Biden though. You have come into office, released a public strategy about how you tackle Covid - after highlighting the failings of your predecessor - it just doesn't make sense you would make an announcement about such a small trial.

It's maybe already started.

All I am trying to say is why would they make a big announcement - the trial hospitals obviously already know what they are doing, so just let them get on with it.

Can you really imagine Biden or Fauci saying "we have a wonder drug which is made by a tiny company in Southampton and we're about to give it to 110 people...."

No, it doesn't add up. They will keep it low key, accelerate it through the trials and then announce data if it goes as we expect and numbers for production.

After all saying, "we have bought 100,000 doses of a new treatment which our studies show is 80% effective" is much grander and news worthy.

We're all waiting for some sort of official announcement about inclusion as part of the trial, but is it possible there won't be one?

The RNS from Synairgen stated:

"The Phase II evaluation of SNG001 will see the recruitment of up to a maximum of 220 participants across US sites, in a home-based setting, split between SNG001 and placebo, and a positive result enables progression into the Phase III part of the study."

If the Americans are throwing resources at this then those numbers will be filled in no time. And does such a small number really merit a mention? Maybe just get the trial done, keep it low key, and only announce something when there is something to announce.

I actually suspect if there was going to be a big announcement then Synairgen would have had to have waited to release the RNS.

We're not asking about Asthma here Scinv. This is all in for Covid, so forget that trial. Anyone here for COPD purposes really is deluded, that's not making any money in the near future. So let's not make excuses about trials which are not relevant now.

In my line of work there is a saying that it's better to creat something that others criticise than to criticise others and create nothing.

You're constantly on here, posting about why SNG001 isnt the answer, criticising links posted by others and generally trying to be smart.

I think you are a rookie medical student. Enough knowledge to understand the science and confuse others, but that is about your limits.

So, here is your chance. Your own thread. Explai to us all please why SNG001 IST worth our investment, your rationale why and what the treatment for this virus should be?

This is how the medical profession works.

He has a big brain and will try to confuse you with science because there is enough conflicting data out there that by choosing selective sources to support your argument you can make it work.

At the end of the day he has a very narrow focus and can't apply science to the real world. Hence why he hangs around a message board for a treatment he likes to discredit rather than investing in something which will save humanity.

How much money would curing the common cold make? A wonder drug that would make billions - no more missed days off work, lying in bed - it would be worth billions of pounds.

@Teamwork - the big pharmas are going to. E throwing everything at this. They f*cked up with the vaccine and now want in on re-using any drug as a potential treatment.

I have seen so many links here to other wonder drugs. Come back when something has credibility and is as advanced as SNG001.

In my household 100% of people who eat ice cream on a Tuesday have never caught Covid-19. Suggest you all do the same, miracle treatment!!

The drop this afternoon has caught me slightly by surprise.

I'm still expecting a very positive trading RNS in the near future though so that should hopefully see this drop wiped out.

I am the same Nina - was desperate to top up in the mid to low 50's this morning but no luck.
