Seriously, Sharelock? Last time I checked, shareholders measure the value of their invesments on the share price, not on empty promises and vague details about where our money is actually being spent.

The obsession with the Twitter group comes from the fact I was part of it briefly and witnessed how that pack mentality can affect the decisions of other holders. Without naming names, at one point someone said 'The LSE board is quiet today, let's all add a post on there' and within minutes the #excitingtimes was all over the place.....that was before Christmas so we all know how exciting and accurate that observation was. It was quite a lesson in how manipulation can occur, whether or not it was intended on that occasion. There are also the numerous predictions of 'deal by x date' or 'deal imminent' from supposedly solid sources...mysteriously none of it ever comes to pass. So yes, you could say my eyes have been opened somewhat these last weeks and I have started regarding those with unerringly positive angles with suspicion and certainly will not be jumping to their defence in the naive manner I used to. Imo these groups have just as much power and influence over individual shareholders and overall sentiment as the broker-led trolling groups.

It really is ill-advised to trust anyone on here; it should be a forum for voicing opinions and sharing in good and bad news alike, nothing more.

Sharelock, why should it be seen as the near termness of a deal happening? That is one possibility but there are also various other possibilities, which need to be aired....we are teetering on the brink here and I think some are sick of the endless positive spins put on everything, particularly by the Twitter group(s), which naturally leads to certain suspicions.

We have been completed f*cked over here and there is very little actual evidence that shareholders figure anywhere in the company priorities, if anything we seem to be regarded with spite. We can blindly gloss over this latest one and start discussing the potential upsides again, or, we can start looking at all possible outcomes. I don't aim to do it on a public forum as that achieves very little, however, I will indeed be doing it.

I do indeed hope you are right, however, I won't be applying the blind faith I adopted previously.....

SBP, cant argue with the logic as its definitley a big concern in my mind, however, surely if Minty did that the process leading up to it would be so transparent that he would be open to multiple law suits for any number of different reasons?

Finally got around to listening to GS podcast. I agree that it sounds bizarrely upbeat in light of the middle finger placing, and upbeat in a way that isn't as waffley as usual. Very glad to hear reference to Nuog as a separate entity in its own right...again, if things go t*ts up with Nuog and MFDev magically emerges from the ashes then I think there's further scope here to pursue misleading statements from the company. In no mood to forgive and forget at this stage and based on current share price it's still anyone's guess as to what is going to unfold, however, the podcast is a little glimmer of light in an otherwise sh*tty moment in this share's history.

BT, I haven't decided which course of action yet, if any. All I know is that I don't like being f*cked around and I like even less other people taking the p*ss with my money. Will discuss offline with one or two others and take things from there. Switching off for a bit now....KR, will go through process mentioned Tuesday or Wednesday. Cheers

BT has actually given me a better idea to make sure you know it's me....when I set up Twitter, I'll post on here to say I'm adding you then I'll dm you a message and you can paste it on here so that I can confirm it's me....never thought I'd say this BT but genius idea!

Thanks KR. Careful you don't get any false cobrakai names adding you...that happened to me before too with Benjdroid! Best thing to get around that is I'll message on here directly before I add you on Twitter and hopefully that way you won't get too many adding you (or less at least). I deleted my Twitter account previously as only created one to join the Nuog group. I'm travelling back home tomorrow so probably won't get chance to set one up until Tuesday at the earliest so if you get any requests before then, it isn't me!!

Same...when I set up a temporary Twitter account to join the Nuog group previously, I posted it on here in order to reach out to Benjdroid....as you can imagine, the floodgates opened and I got requests from about 20 different handles on Twitter; it became impossible to know who was the real Benjdroid! BT, thank you for the temporary email suggestion....it occurred to me but won't work for exactly the reasons you stated and happened in the situation above....when I post the email address here, the world and his son will get in touch and it will be impossible to know who the real ones are. I also don't wish to open the floodgates. I wish to discuss options with a select few who I at least have an idea about from Lse posts. Will give it some further thought but if anyone else can think of a way around it then I'm all ears!

KR, Timbo, MM, Roy, I am keen to have a safety net here and also seek some justice. This has happened too many times now to just slip back into the old rhythm of hoping something will come good 'in short order'. You have all expressed similar feelings and as far as I can tell you seem like genuine posters. It would be good to discuss things offline but I have no idea how we can exchange details without every nutter under the sun getting in touch, which is exactly what happened when I joined the Twitter group for that short spell. Are any of you keen to progress this offline? If so, any thoughts on how we can exchange details publicly but also somehow privately?!

Sorry, point 3 still up for discussion but we live in hope. Now it really is good night....some of us have mothers to spoil in Michelin star restaurants tomorrow under the pretence our investments haven't just been decimated!!

Wookie, firstly I don't recall being rude to you and secondly, I certainly wasn't one of the happy clappy posters here.....I shot down a lot of what I perceived as trolls bringing nothing constructive to the party, positive or negative, but have decided to tone down my self-righteous tone for the reasons stated previously.

I've decided to skip the first part of your post as it reads a bit split personality lol but the second part I am fully on board with. I think any genuine holder here just wants to see a return but I think a few of us also want to see certain individuals within the company, and possibly outwith the company, held to account for what has been an atrocious run of misleading information and false dawns.

Roy, QT, I'm certainly on board with taking things further if they don't pull a miraculous rabbit out of the hat in the very near future. Even if they do, I would still like to know exactly where funds have gone and I'm afraid, XR, the information disclosed to date is woefully inadequate to suggest we are able to make 'button pushing' decisions on a level playing field.

Wookie, I agree with Roy that the tone of that post is a little perplexing...if you are a holder here then why is it ok that you don't know the answer to your question but the rest of us should? What's more, I think even raising the prospect of figures above 1p etc after what happened yesterday is going to rub a few of us up the wrong way I'm afraid; still a little raw for that sort of chat....it's what got a lot of people in this mess in the first place!!

TCM, I don't deny that you have been the more astute of the two of us in this case....I just don't agree with how you've gone about it. As mentioned, however, it's now clear that my self-righteous approach to trolls may have been playing into the hands of other trolls lurking in sheep's clothing. I will be making a concerted effort to step down from my self-appointed role of bb police as it really has become impossible to distinguish the good from the bad, if indeed there were ever any good guys here in the first place! As has rightly been stated already today, don't trust what you read on these boards!
