I accept that to some extent Sharelock but more pressing at the moment is where the evidence is that the company is going to last long enough to see these fabled multiple deals? Aren't you the slightest bit concerned that 3 months of funding for 'operational costs' sounds incredibly vague and ominous?
Also, what you interpret as 'building a company' is interpreted by others as jumping desperately from one idea to the next....first marginal fields and apparent domination in just about every quarter of the frigging globe, then GH and the bottomless reserves of oil there, now G2W and prospective domination in just about every quarter of the frigging globe. Doesn't any of this ring alarm bells for you?? If you have the job LT claimed then surely you are a little more risk averse than your sentiment here suggests?
Sharelock, with respect, you always post as if you have greater knowledge than the rest of us of what is in store. As with a good deal of the other holders posting in that manner to date, your insights have so far proven to be about as far off the mark as a fart in the wind. You keep talking about deals '2, 3 and 4' and it's really getting on my wick tbh. How about we focus on Deal 1, just 1 deal?
Seriously, if you're party to more information than the rest of us then step up, as seadog has, and let us know what it is....if you aren't willing to do that then best not to post as the aggressive tone of 'nothing's changed and why isn't everyone as positive as me' is starting to p*ss me off. If you're going to continue this angle then give us something tangible.....
Agreed Royscot
Good to hear from you Targaryen and hope the recovery process is going well. It really is a sad state of affairs at present but all we can hope is that something materialises......atb and be sure check in now again; this board needs a bit of wholesome neutrality!!
Seadog, respect for responding with an explanation. Fortunately the detail you've provided makes a lot more sense than the alternative narrative I was beginning to believe. I didn't want to post it on here before but we had obviously had a couple of private message exchanges before and after I joined/left the Twitter group and I was seriously starting to question my own judgement of character.
Thank you for the additional detail surrounding events leading up to the placing. My concern now is how vulnerable it leaves us as a company and as shareholders. Simon has sworn blind over the phone that they aren't about to switch the lights off but what that's worth and whether even he would know is anyone's guess. If Minty has it in for us then is the SPV more akin to what BT is suggesting and a way of protecting MFDev deals if Nuog disappears? I'm not suggesting this is the case as I have no information other than the current state chain of events to go on ,however, we really need some kind of reassurance at this stage.....and ideally something more than Graham being a good bloke....
As far as I can tell Gggg played the trading game and played it well, which he always seemed quite open about. At least when he was around there was a good chance something was in the offing, apart from this latest debacle of course, which seems to have caught all, or almost all, of us out. Is Targaryen still around? One of the few posters who genuinely seemed to have no agenda at all....
Interesting, Roy. So are they company shills on a commission or what? Surely if they held any themselves then they are also suffering with the current price? Agree with Roy, good post marbur. The whole 'conquer the world' rhetoric is perhaps the most worrying of all...jack of all trades and master of none. We really need a deal.....
Exactly, Chinaman1. The thing is, Insidious, LT claimed to have met seadog and swore blind that 'he was a man of impeccable character' and a job that was so fine and upstanding it couldn't even be discussed in public. So was LT in on it all as well? If he wasn't and has been duped too by seadog and the company, as many have suggested, why has he been doing it for so many years and intentionally or unintentionally misleading others in the process?
If by some miracle seadog was who LT claimed then why was he urging others to buy? I didn't see it at the time as I thought he was just trying to prevent trolls from influencing decent people, same as what I was doing, but now I look back he was actively trying to influence people's decisions....if he was as fine and upstanding as claimed then surely he would be here now to explain to those who listened to him what the heck went wrong? A bit like the company, when things don't go as planned there's just silence....
Amongst similar posts from others, yes...not personal bud but certain lines from certain characters at this stage in proceedings are irritating the f*ck out of me I'm afraid. We've been hammered with 'news incoming'..... 'buy now before it's too late' etc etc for months now and look where we are! Even if news lands, and I sincerely hope it does, those previous posts have influenced others in some way and that's just a rotten way of living life tbh. It's extra annoying for me as I defended a lot of those 'genuine' people....
Interesting read there NowtNu...definitely some astute insight in there if it's all accurate.
As for the whole 'don't blame them, blame yourself' from the Twitter group massif, I'm afraid you can't have it both ways chaps. You can't be on here day after day posting pages and pages of 'research' and urging others to 'buy in before it's too late' or 'buy in before suspension' bla bla bla and then claim you had no intention whatsoever of influencing others and it's their fault for listening to you. You know full well some will listen and that's why you posted here day after day in a coordinated way, in the same manner as the troll groups. I was quick to defend the 'better researched' posters as they seemed genuine, however, the current share price shows that they were either:
1. Grossly misled by the company....even if this is true, it still begs the question why ramp so hard and try to influence the decisions of others?
2. Pushing their own agendas and trying to push others to buy in order to make personal gains....to me that makes them lower than any troll as they did so under the guise of legitimate holders selflessly sharing research.
3. Working for the company, in which case they should all be strung up and charged with fraud.
Who knows which is correct, however, do not come on here telling genuine holders that we should have known better or it's our own fault for listening to them....that is a pathetic and parasitic defence of such behaviour.
Who knows what lies ahead with this; I think all of us still holding hope something positive finally arrives, but there have been some serious lessons here lately in the grimy world of discussion boards. There was me all that time ago thinking I was just reading the thoughts and insights of other people who had decided to invest in the same share as me. How wrong I was!!
Exactly Wob, they must know by now that all that most genuine holders want is a bit more transparency. The NDA stuff sounded good when the pumpers were ramping up an imminent deal, however, that was months if not years ago so why haven't they provided clear updates on what happened at GH and which marginal field deals didn't progress? It would help shareholder sentiment to know that at least some of the money invested had been used for the intended purpose laid out in official comms.
Fair comment on the final part Keni....keyboard warriors do that and I'm certainly not one of those!
You would have thought that would be logical Wob...but then along with that question mark there are about a hundred others. What happened to the marginal field strategy that was sold as the golden ticket for so long? Why absolutely no detailed explanation about what's happened at GH? This is a seriously tense moment and whilst I still hope to god they pull something out the bag, alarm bells and warning signs are going off everywhere that this may yet turn out to be another AIM con. One thing I can assure them, however, is that I've never made an empty promise in my life.....and I promise to follow through on exactly what I've intimated if necessary.....
Wob, unfortunately I think the same logic was applied when certain individuals were claiming they would have placed when the share price was higher if they needed to.......look how that one turned out!!
If they do read this then there is something I can be very. very clear about...if this latest attempt by the large holders to get us all on board is the result of some sort of disgusting ultimatum from the company to show support or face the consequences, I can assure you that if Nuog suddenly disappears or screws us over yet again then there will be some very, very tangible consequences. It may currently work to their advantage that the people keeping them in business are mostly faceless individuals of unknown background or consequence, however, that could also work quite severely against them if they continue pushing....
Wobwat, 'moaning' is a poor choice of words considering what many have put at stake following what seemed like pretty sound research once upon a time. However, one thing I agree with you and Jarem on is that slagging my own investment achieves little. I too will be posting less but equally will not stand by while others are unwittingly influenced or coerced yet again. Everybody is entitled to post their own opinions but coordinated posting and thinly veiled influential posting will be met with what it deserves....
Thanks for clarifying Wob...I'm getting a little tired of the coordinated posting tbh. And as for the increasingly aggressive tone that we should start backing the company again, they can just about blo*dy well f*ck off until we see some clear evidence of where all the f*cking money has gone and what exactly all these new jobs have been doing since god knows when.
Jarem, once again, kindly refrain from telling others what to do. If people wish to contact the company to discuss what the f*ck is going on then that is perfectly within their rights.....as I recall they have an IR officer specifically for that purpose.
I also fail to see how Graham has placed any stamp on anything, other than to continue the Minty tradition of providing shareholders with zero information and decimating the share price. The latter may not be down to him but you can hardly say he has placed any kind of stamp yet. As for giving him time, I was all up for that upon appointment and the talk of 8-10 weeks to let him get his feet under the table. Yet here we are, 13 weeks later, no further forward in terms of tangible progress and a share price that has all but been destroyed by the latest antics from the company. If it's for operational costs then what happens after that? The open offer? And what after that?? Until we see something significant and tangible then you'd do very well indeed to avoid telling others how to think and act.
As to you question about backing the company and my own investment decision, the answer is no, at present I back neither. I am locked in due to significant paper losses and have lost most of my faith in the company. Let me guess, I should sell up then? You'd be wise not to go down that route....
Of course I want this to come good, however, my faith in my own investment and the ethics and morality of the company have been shot to pieces. Let's hope the sudden drum beating from the 'oh so trustworthy' large holders and ex-insiders actually means something this time.
Fair enough Jarem and you're entitled to your own opinion on your own investment, just as the rest of us are.
I would highly doubt they have/could remove the posts just for being positive....starting to sound like the trolls of yesteryear who said the same about negative posts being removed!
It's great that you've reached the same happy place at coincidentally the same moment and decided to post as much on here, however, I think some of us are starting to draw the line when you urge others to follow suit...not going to happen, I'm afraid. We're all big boys and girls and can make our own decisions as to when, and if, we regain faith....atb
