I get what you are saying romaron. When you look at our most successful entrepreneurs Branson, Dyson etc, they all keep their companies private. The corporate leaders are totally different animals.

I would class AB as an entrepreneur rather than a corporate type, it would be no surprise to me if he took Enquest private.

AB's own personal holding is much smaller than Double A Ltd and is included in the 9% under his family ownership - Double A Ltd is registered in Douglas. All the up to date documents for the company are openly available online for a charge. I guess AB and his relatives collectively have a great deal of wealth???

I guess buying this chain would be a no brainer for one of the big coffee/bakery chains - Greggs would be obvious - stores are fitted out, keep the staff, a simple rebrand - its just the price that has to be right.

The one thing to be wary of regards shale is that the producers are getting much better at extracting it - they have improved their methods regarding horizontal fracking to get more from each well.

My theory is that it is mainly the bond holders who are shorting the shares.
