It seems that after around 11 hours the hook up continues although it is not possible to be certain - the AIS on Siri Knutsen seems to be shielded by EP - it is possible that it has been turned off for some reason, maybe for the hook up??

Hook up looks to have been about 09.30 this morning - it is difficult to be 100% sure so we will have to wait until the end of the transfer to check the draught - AIS time deficiencies and positioning of AIS on vessels make interpretation difficult.

Excellent - looks like a hook up in around an hours time.

Nothing to get excited about re production - it doesn't look like the work over gave much improvement but it will be interesting to see how much crude is transferred.

Siri Knutsen is currently empty with a draught of 8.7m.

That's not good - we may have to endure some more pain over the coming weeks ahead of stage 2 news.

This article confirms a premium for heavy Mexican crude over WTI but maybe not for Brent yet but the potential is there as demand for heavy oil certainly exceeds supply..

It was moving that way with the fall in exports of heavier crude from Venezuela - especially for the US market.

So the answer could be yes after the recent turmoil in Venezuela???

Excellent news the draught of Scott Spirit is 14.7m - this would indicate that she has a full load - estimated at around the 600k mark.

As she is off to Rotterdam the load is not constrained by the usual upper limit to most US transfer loads - I guess we are close to 25k per day since the downtime with more to come when the pipe is fixed - good times ahead !!!

My guess is that Sirius will get agreement for the $3 billion debt package and then immediately launch an accelerated book build to raise the 400-600m - cash is in the bank then and ready to spend within 48 hours.

I think that there will be plenty of institutional buyers looking for a piece of the action at this point especially with the SP being so low - the new shares would be priced at the SP at the time the book build was announced usually at the close of business and completion would be the next morning.

Sentiment is a funny thing - you have to learn to see though it.

Nothing has changed that much since the update, maybe the time frame has been pushed back a bit, so why are so may investors panicking. Even with the worst case scenario Sirius is still good value at this pre production price.

Hold your patience, you can be 90% down and still come up trumps if the potential is there as it is with Sirius.

It is the things that you cannot see that should cause worry - as in CAKE for example.

I am not sure that that would work Kraken - Bumi are on a knife edge - if the lease payments were withheld they would more than likely go bust - but I guess AB can use this to get what he wants from them or more likely what they are able to offer.
