It looks like the challenge is going to come very early this week - China will release its fourth-quarter and 2018 GDP data on Monday (0200 GMT), along with December factory output, retail sales and fixed-asset investment.

Could be make or break for the markets - even before we start on Monday morning.

Yes if the dilution is via an investment from a strategic partner we probably will see a rise in the SP.

But is Sirius go back to shareholders the new shares will be offered at a very substantial discount to the current SP.

That is the gamble here at the moment.

This is from the 2017 report - it gives the breakdown in share ownership between Double A and AB at 31st December 2017.

103,141,033 shares are held by Double A Limited, a discretionary trust in which the extended family of Amjad Bseisu has a beneficial interest. The remaining 117,283 shares are held by Amjad Bseisu directly.

There is cash already in the bank to finance operations until the end of Q2 2019 - we still have plenty of time for stage 2 financing to complete - Sirius started the process in good time to allow for the slow pace that these sort of negotiations always take.

It has been a long haul here for me - I first brought in when the SP was over 20p in July 2017.

The potential was the same then but the large corporate customers took to long to make decisions and ITX ran out of cash.

So back in May, after averaging down, we had the bookbuild and open offer at 2p - at this stage I was 90% down.

So having held for all this time I am now around 40% down but with the potential now for a big long term gain over the next few years.

OK, I won't stretch the point but it is important that everyone knows the situation.

The problem now is that we have had just two loads in the last 40 days, so far, with nothing in sight so far for load 30 - that is a big hole in the finances.

I would guess that the decision has already been made in the affirmative and everything is in the hands of civil servants - the only time the decision could be changed is if there was a general election, then the incoming Government would be asked to endorse the decision.

All this off course could take a great deal of time civil servants, lawyers, bankers - all long winded !!!

Here is the Sirius lab testing info for Sodium reduction published this month.

Sirius have done lab tests to demonstrate that Poly4 does a better job at reducing sodium levels than Gypsum in soil with high sodium levels.

This would typically apply to irrigated land where salt levels have built up to such an extent than the land is unproductive or reduces yield.

The calcium in the Poly4 or Gypsum ties up the sodium so that it can be flushed from the soil.

This report indicates the scale of the problem - maybe Poly4 can help solve it - game changer here if it can !!!

The pattern before the September update was for roughly a 5p gain every time it dropped back from a spike - every year from February 2016 then March 17 and February 18.

The announcement of extra funding broke this pattern because of the dilution risk.

What happens next depends on stage 2 and how the extra funding is raised - assuming stage 2 is successful and the funding comes from a strategic partner rather than a right issue, I think we could easily jump straight back to 30p in one go and then probably start to look at the 30-50p range.

Unless we get bad news after that I don't see the SP falling below 35p again - but its all guess work - as always.

Very good job by the local MP to bring Sirius to Parliament - then for May to link to the Northern Powerhouse - very significant.

I am not sure what we can expect from the EIA lottery today but Brent still looks to be at the bottom of its price range at $60 - I think we can expect a slow rise to $65 with $70 as tops in 2019 - rather boring but safe.

I think you will find that they are just a small part of a much larger trade or trades that are chopped up into small segments for the auto trading process.

Basically when we see them we can assume that there are big trades being processed.

Updates with regard to stage 2 will not be forthcoming until it is all done and dusted.

We have been told Q1 2019.

There is enough cash in the kitty until the end of Q2 2019 - patience is the key

Most of the companies I have invested in give no news from one half year to the next but Sirius are totally different.

We are seeing a constant flow of news and updates from the mine via all forms of media on an almost daily basis.

To say we are uninformed is ludicrous.
