It looks very likely that we are heading into a period of high oil prices. There is likely to be a supply shortfall as a result of reduced production of US shale oil. This could affect oil supplies for a couple of years.

This would, I think, give renewables a massive boost and could be a game changer.

One thing's for sure, if there is an oil supply problem and the price of oil spikes, it will give renewables a massive boost and it will also lift demand for electric vehicles.
So, two years of high oil prices would certainly help the oil industry but it could be the last of the golden years with falling demand the only legacy.

I think that indicates just how far the R&D has to go regarding green hydrogen production. It will take much more investment than CWE can provide to move this forward. The question is will that investment be forthcoming?

The answer is probably yes - but not for the reason that is apparently obvious - combatting climate change.

We are actually probably heading for a supply crisis with oil and this will more than likely result in a big price spike.

I think this will stimulate investment in all forms of renewables and really boost R&D spend - green hydrogen will have a chance to prove itself.

I think Brent will hold on to most of its gains - but last few days spike was probably a reaction to Texas storm - maybe settle at $62. Likewise ENQ will hold most of this weeks gain.

Sorry, but all this talk of tree-shakes and MM's controlling prices is absolute poppy****.
There is no manual interface controlling share prices, software programs set the algorithms after that everything is automatic.

I can see a bounce back up to around £14 then a quiet couple of weeks before it moves forward again but it will be a long time before we see £16 again.

Yes, that's the point andrbea, this industry does have massive potential but the promise has overtaken reality - these hydrogen companies are still quite small and full commercialisation will come slowly over the next five years or so.

On this occasion, with all the potential, investors have pilled in and pushed the market cap well above sensible levels - currently the numbers are way out - so what we are seeing is simply a market correction.

I guess this cycle of trading will happen multiple times as the company grows.
