Yes, I get that - the thing is that if all the locations where the hydrogen is produced have to be manned for them to function then the idea is a non starter. Unless you could feed power from multiple turbines from one location to make it viable.

It would need the hydrogen production plant to be incorporated into the individual wind turbines and to work automatically to make it work. , then yes, it would be an excellent idea.

"Let's save polluting shipping fuel" - yes, there might be a way to do that, by capturing the emissions - passing them through fuel cells to produce extra power and then pumping the excess carbon into a tank below decks for transfer to carbon storage under the North Sea.

Its not a question of just wanting change - the change in needed, even if it does impact economic prosperity - just doing nothing isn't an option.

This is an interesting concept but probably not a practical one.
To have multiple manned production sites each needing a pipeline network to get hydrogen to shore rather than existing wind farms that just deliver electricity to shore would seem to be a bit crazy.
Much better to use the power onshore to produce green hydrogen to feed directly into the gas main network from one big production plant.
The concept of using the excess electricity produced from wind power to produce green hydrogen is certainly the way forward - its just a question of developing a viable process.

Simply that the market cap of £2,617m is way above what the company is actually worth at the moment.

I am not saying that it won't be worth £2,617m in the future, but the high level of sentiment and realisation of the great potential of CWR has pumped the SP to a valuation that is currently unrealistic.

We are just coming to terms with what is possible - there is no reason why Enquest shouldn't get commercially involved with what is proposed in this report - simply saying something isn't possible isn't an option.

Its important to realise the difference between renewables and technology that reduces emissions from carbon powered fuel generation.
Anything that can be done to collect or reduce carbon emissions has to be good news.
A couple of examples-
Carbon capture, where the collected carbon emissions are buried underground - Enquest have a role here and it is a profitable one for the company.
Using gas powered fuel cells that can turn emissions into additional power reducing the final emissions into the atmosphere.
Just doing nothing isn't an option.

The thing is that most sectors have recovered to pre Covid levels.
Even in some of the badly hit sectors like catering - MAB for example.
Why should oil be any different?

I fully expected that oil shares would have followed Brent back up to what is now almost pre-Covid levels.
Even the SP's of oil majors like BP and Shell show no signs of filling the gap - this isn't an Enquest issue.
Even with OPEC+ intervening to control the market and American production at lower levels, we are not seeing a SP recovery.
Why???

I think the news today that the WHO experts recommend Oxford-AstraZeneca jab for over-65s means that the vaccine roll out will be even quicker than expected and continue right down the age groups until everyone over 16 is vaccinated by late spring- early summer.
We have much more stock of the Oxford vaccine than any of the other vaccines and it is produced in the UK, so its full steam ahead.
Its good news for the rest of the world as well because it is the Oxford vaccine that is being mass produced in India under the
Covaxin and Covishield name - they could massively ramp up production.
