Remembering last year, it was just after Christmas that the SP took off big time without any apparent trigger, so a rise could come at anytime - in fact most trading updates tend to deflate the SP.

Anaergia have a much bigger market cap than Eqtec - roughly 11 times larger, so I guess if this collaboration goes well there could be takeover speculation.

Yes, I fully agree regarding the reliability issue - the best way to solve that is with nuclear, and with Hinkley under construction and Sizewell now looking more likely at least we are seeing some action regarding this insurance option to keep the grid running, but more needs to be done. Maybe Rolls Royce have the answer with their pre fabricated mini nuclear stations.

The sooner we move to electric vehicles the better, but as is constantly pointed out, no solutions are perfect.

However that doesn't mean that the process of change isn't necessary - even small changes can make a lot of difference.

Associating William Tudor Brown, co founder of Arm Holdings with Ceres - now on the board of Ceres - has a massive impact on investors and with good reason.

Its a wake up call to the potential here, ahead of the companies move to the FTSE250 next year.

The point with Ceres is that it doesn't produce the flashy electrolysers but the simple nuts and bolts of the new tech - fuel cells - these will be licensed for production around the world, hence the association with Arm Holdings and the presence of William Tudor Brown, who has done it all before.

Hopefully we will get more of the same in the run up to COP26.

I think we still need to be patient - it may take a little longer than anticipated for the market to pick up on GE - give it a couple of weeks for the momentum to build back.

The market is still very anti North Sea Energy, but as the balance changes more to renewables, I think that perception will improve, however its not helped by the luddites who seem intent to live in the past - we need to move on, then the SP will respond favourably as the institutions buy back into the sector.
