Its very difficult to break downward momentum, especially when the reason for the fall is sector related and the financial imperative for many is to push down the SP even more.

Also, you have to consider in OCDO's case that the stock was also over bought as a result of the Covid pandemic when it was one of the few big winners.

The old cliché to be patient applies - it will turn eventually but it may take months rather than days - meanwhile enjoy the presentation on 26th Jan.

I have only been investing here since the Spring but in that time I have come to appreciate just how well Eqtec keep their shareholders informed compared to many other listed companies.
So, my guess is that when they have news that is relevant we will get it, sooner rather than later. Although that might just be a few snippets between now and April.

Its also important to note that the news flow is generally governed by how long it takes customers to respond, planning, financing etc etc. and with Covid still hanging around it must be very frustrating closing deals at the moment.

The December update was certainly very welcome because although it contained some negative news, it was very necessary to put the record straight.

Good bounce back - maybe simply due to the slide back in the SP last week and investors seeing a bargain - US market is closed today.

We certainly have interesting times ahead and if Eqtec can start to emulate Ceres then that will be quite some achievement.
I have invested in Ceres since pre share consolidation days when the SP was below 15p.
The key to their development and the growth in the SP has been the partnerships with Bosch and Weichai, maybe we will see something similar with Eqtec, with Wood taking a stake to fund rapid expansion.

With the Ocado Re:imagined virtual production event due on the 26th January, I thought it would be interesting to look for technological challenges where Ocado's robotic technology could be applied.

So to where better to start than with sorting waste.

I think we will see a rebound to around 240p, then the SP will flatline for a while before it takes off again later in the Spring or Summer.

Maybe predictions of getting back into the FTSE100 were premature, but with a dividend announcement in the Summer anything is possible.

Boyobach posted a very interesting chart on the OCDO board a few days ago.
We were discussing the fortunes of tech shares in the global market.

The interesting thing is that how closely CWR and OCDO have followed one another during the last year - CWR only outperformed OCDO during COP26.

This does I think confirm that recent falls are defiantly sector related and that we should all keep our nerves and hold for the good times. Also I think the shorts have been fully exploiting the current situation, the press reported that shorts were actively using 6% of OCDO's issued capital at the moment - I guess CWR may also be affected, with Euroclear reporting 2.88% stock out on loan in December.

What a wonderful week - add in OCDO, CWR and ITX and I might as well take a trip to Beachy Head!

All these conspiracy theories may be interesting speculation but the main basic fact is that globally all tech shares are taking a hiding at the moment because of inflation fears and until that changes the slide will continue.

In addition, what we do know is that according to press reports the shorts hold a large position - around 6% - in OCDO.
This is bound to be lubricating the move downward and when they close the SP will move sharply up again.

Look at it this way.
Eqtec will have to fund their expansion and yes, if it turns out as forecast it is rapid growth and the SP will undoubtable respond as revenue grows over the coming years.

At the moment Ceres revenue is constrained because revenue is only coming from one small factory.
If things go to plan then Weichai Power - a Chinese state owned company - will fund large scale production and Ceres will receive licencing revenue.

So, with Ceres its potential that fuels the SP, built on years of R&D - Eqtec will have to rely much more on hard graft with numerous equity raises along the way to get their tech adopted.

Its actually the same thing - with any growth company its always jam tomorrow so its always an anxious wait, therefore, waiting becomes more painful when the market drops, causing more investors to fall by the wayside and the SP falls even more.

Well done Neil - welcome back - seems well oversold now - should settle up towards 240p in a week or two then flatline for a while.

The world markets are consumed with worry over inflation - this always impacts tech shares hard, because their income is generally based on growth potential rather than real time profits and inflation reduces the earnings potential - especially in Ceres case.

Until this changes than we are likely to see a continued slide in the SP's of tech stocks.

Personally, I think that there are now clear signs that tech stocks are over sold and we should see a reverse quite soon.

I don't think that you can compare EQT with CWR.

Ceres potential is based on what will be a licencing model for the large scale production of fuel cells in much the same way as ARM Holdings did with computer chips.

With EQT the growth will have to be far more organic and slower - EQT certainly haven't got the potential for explosive growth like Ceres.

The long term potential here is excellent, but I think it will be some time before the SP reflects that potential.
