Being involved early on in such a massive innovation for commercial horticulture could turn out to be just as lucrative as groceries if Ocado can fully engage and patent their robotics for harvesting.

I think Putin is trying to provoke the division of Ukraine.
The Russian speaking east and south of the country is very distinctly different to the west of Ukraine - they vote overwhelmingly for different leaders.

From Putin's point of view, I think he wants a more direct link to the Crimea where the Russian fleet has access 12 months of the year.

My guess is that there will be some sort of insurrection in the east of Ukraine and that the leaders of the insurrection will invite the Russian troops in, then it will be a fait accompli - the West will have the choice of backing down or starting a war.

It did seem earlier in the week that we were starting to see a recovery in tech shares, but with the black mood of the media this weekend the prospects don't look good.

Normally it certainly would be positive for the SP - current market sentiment blocks anything positive at the moment and jumps on any new negatives.

The case for the pessimists - or we isn't seen nothing yet.

Personally, I think the US market has been distorted by the valuations on the very big tech companies - they are way OTT - the thing is what happens to the rest of the market if they revalue?

I don't see the launch event on the 26th Jan making any difference to the SP - especially if you accept the fact that the current woes are market related.

I see this event simply for what it is - informing existing shareholders.

After all, its only info on the finances that moves SP's - all the rest is regarded by the City as hot air.

However, I rather think that PI's are better at interpreting the hot air into potential than the City - that gives us our edge.

I sometimes think that Simply Wall Street is trying to out fool the Fool - small caps are always volatile - you have to look long term!

Personally, I still think the fall in the SP is now all down to market conditions and that there are good signs that it is starting to reverse.

We also have to accept that there are probably still a high percentage of shorts in OCDO trading at the moment - hopefully when they depart we will see a good rebound.

When negativity takes control everything seems to be wrong, even when it isn't.
Hopefully good times will come with the Spring - in the meantime its a great time to buy.

The point is though Jan - will they try and defend Eastern Ukraine where up to 90% of the population would favour a Russian takeover?

I think Putin is after another land grab - to take all or part of Eastern Ukraine this time.
My guess is that the Eastern Ukrainians will start things off and then the Russian troops will come in to support them.
Hopefully at that point common sense will prevail and there won't be a full scale war.

From memory - Phil Caldwell, during an interview, predicted that Green Hydrogen produced from offshore wind power would be commercially profitable within the next five years in the UK.

If this guy is right?

I guess they will cut their more premium lines, elevate what's left, then bring in even cheaper rags that were originally destined for the third world for their bargain sales - hence no price rises with margins preserved.

Maiden statutory profit - cash generating - the lucrative Greenlight business integrated - results ahead of market expectations - magnificent!

Unfortunately it would have no effect Dodger - all the drop is market related, not Ceres - even the positive update made no difference.

Good signs now that the tech share drop is slowing - CWR has been closely following OCDO since Jan 2021 - over the last few days OCDO's SP has showed good signs of stabilising.

I think mrc is right for a change.
The SP is still broadly positive and although Tullow is doing much better, even though they also haven't given 2022 guidance, the real test will come with the update due in a couple of weeks.
Fingers crossed its positive - it certainly NEEDS to be - I chickened out and sold, you will soon find out is I was right or wrong.

Other tech shares are now showing signs of bottoming out - CWR may take a little longer because most of the earnings potential is in the future - this is a fantastic entry point for a long term hold!

The SP simply went into over bought territory - now starting to show signs of recovery against the market - not sure it will settle and stick at around 240p now - maybe 230-235p is more realistic.
