I did say I was cautiously optimistic last nigh and these results show I was correct to be - simply stunning - Clothing & Home sales up 5.3%; adjusted operating profit £402.8m (2022/23: £323.8m) and margin of 10.3% - to increase margin is a bonus - should go well north this morning - lets see

It will come down to what it always comes down to with MKS - clothing market share/margin - MKS have momentum and the market will want to see margins maintained and market share grow, that is the bottom line here - I am cautiously optimistic - lets see - good luck tomorrow

Hey Arsinal - yes all good here matey and commiserations for the gooners - good effort just fell short in the end - RR. is currently the best share in my portfolio, almost a triple bagger now with more to come I think - the boing fiasco playing into rr hands right now - good things to come from that I am sure - if the smr's start gaining some traction then I think we will see some massive gains here, then maybe I can put my feet up and finally call it a day!!

The Brussels airline review of Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 must be playing out all with airline companies over the world right now - at the end of the day nobody wants to get on a plane where there is known problems with the engines, with the phrase "if its Boing I ain't going" becoming more prevelant by the day, this is good news and augers well for the mighty RR. - Plenty more orders coming down the pipe me thinks - follow the money

UK Value stocks now firmly in focus with IDS the most recent to succumb in the Turkey Shoot - no credible company that is being valued at silly money will be overlooked - DLG must be one of them surely - UK Economy turning positive, inflation and interest rates falling - this company must be back in the firing line - follow the money

Shrewd move by BT imo - as interest rates fall dividends will become more of a priority - lovely increase of 3.90pct in the divi today, I suspected this has garnered the interest of a few fund managers this morning - shorts under pressure now to close which will only fuel the rise, lets see what the webinar brings

Decided reluctantly to sell 70pct of my holding this morning for a 12pct profit, we have had a good run, shorts increasing and no market announcements scheduled for a while, I suspect MCG may retrace - will retain 30pct as I think it will come good eventually but I suspect will take time imho - gla

BigE - I am already in ITV matey, been adding to my position here for over a year - now starting to pay off - still cheap imo - my target is 100p and I will be adding the dividends to my holding next week

Sean, I believe the Gov have given the green light on IDS already, with Kretinski doing his due dilligence before the initial offer was made - don't see any issues with the Gov re ITV - in terms of takeovers National security is the prime consideration in terms of who is doing the takeover, so countries like for example Iran, Iraq, China etc would be prohibited, having said that the VOD/3 MOBILE merger looks like it may well go ahead and I believe there were network links with these at some point to the Chinese company Huawei - so no issues for ITV me thinks

Daft Dave Ward, the wannabee Scargill, on around 150k a year telling people on 25pct of what he earns that everything will be ok, that in itself is quite simply grotesque, especially when he and the rest of the chumps at the CWU have been complicit in making the bid happen in the first place

Profit taking - ITV up over 12pct in the past month so profit taking was always on the cards - fund managers worldwide now waking up though to how undervalued some UK stocks are - if they are not valued properly they will be valued accordingly - IDS is living proof of this and playing out in front of your eyes today - follow the money
