Was always going to fall on those results which in the current climate were pretty good - looking to add more a big fall - lets see how it plays out - gla dyor etc.

Looking at US treasury bonds, they are dropping rapidly atm which means the interest rate on US debt is increasing - not great when you have 38t in debt - 8t of that debt is owned by European countries - if US debt starts to be sold off then US treasuries will drop further increasing the debt payments - add to this the inflationary implications of the new tariffs and this starts to look ugly for the US - I am looking to add to my portfolio on any big drops as I do not believe the tariff threat has any legs and is merely a taco gambit - lets see - gla dyor etc.

Will be taken over as Redrow was by Barratt if it keeps falling - has a great landbank and interest rates now falling as lenders scramble for business - an excellent time for an acquisition - at around 0.8x its book value it is ripe for plucking imho - lets see how it plays out - I will be adding more on any further weakness - gla dyor etc.

SatansBolete - Ah so you are upset and annoyed that I sold to make a profit? - strange that, personally I am happy when investors make a profit anyway let me go into more detail as to why I sold - I hold a large portfolio (just ask WESTCOUNTRYBRO the stalker as he knows what shares I own more than I do) - I sectorize my portfolio to reduce my overall risk and have been doing this for around 30 years - as an example of sectorizing I own BP shares and also EZJ shares in the oil and the airline sector - so if oil goes up the BP share price goes up, whereas if oil goes down airlines shares usually go up as it is beneficial for the airline industry to hedge against a lower oil price - I never keep more than 10pct of my overall portfolio in any one sector, again to reduce risk - so I sold Melrose as I had 12.5pct overall in the defence sector and that sale reduced my exposure to 10pct - I have never criticised you or WESTCOUNTRYBRO for holding your MRO shares, why would I, as I currently hold around 70pct of my original holding here, but you saw fit to name call me at 9pm last night for doing the same thing as you are both currently doing ? - Investors have different strategies with regards to investment and people have to decide which strategy is best for them - I am happy to retain my current investment here and I wish you both well with your MRO investment going forward.

Sav - the US inflation figures were good but some of the earnings coming through today disappointed - a lot of US stocks are pretty high in terms of value right now so I guess there was always going to be a pullback over there at some point - it is getting more and more difficult to justify some of the values currently placed on US stocks, whereas in the UK some of the FTSE stock is still undervalued imho - gl dyor etc.
