Back in here at 622p - terrific dividend well covered - can't believe it has fallen this far tbh - will add on further weakness - gla dyor etc.

I have to say I am rather glad I offloaded 80pct of my holding here yesterday for a small profit - looking to buy them back if it falls much further - gla dyor etc.

Guys - FYI - SSPG reported this morning (I own shares in them) - they recently opened the first-ever airside M&S Food to Go at Birmingham Airport, with further airside openings in Heathrow Terminal 5. - they highlighted Marks as a good performer stating they are "pleased by our performance in our M&S estate (across both Air and Rail)" - good signs going forward here - gla dyor etc.

Looks a pretty good update to me - should hopefully go north, lets see - I will be adding more on weakness - gla dyor etc

"Not as confident as I was with the increased shorts....surely they know something is brewing?" - Dave as I said before Blackrock are over 3.5pct LONG on MKS so their short is just a hedge against that - the rest of the shorts - wace, shaw etc are not "naked" shorts and will be hedged against swaps and options - the fall this afternoon is just market reaction to US figures out -shares get marked down accordingly - happened with Tesco - same mark down - more inflation related figures out in the US at 1500 so we may see yet more swings for the share price - lets see - gl dyor etc.

Yes good point John but I think like the JDW Pub story, the JDW Hotel story will spread by word of mouth as much as it is currently doing online - after all at the end of the day, the Brits love a bargain😊😊😊- gl dyor etc

John, the hotel side of things is a winner imho - if you look at the new JDW hotel booking site - its very clear and easy to use - vs Premier inn, where most bargain hunters seek to go as a default choice, JDW it is far cheaper, in some cases considerably cheaper - for example me and the Mrs sometimes pop down to Southend on Sea to watch a concert at Westcliffe on Sea, - to book a room at Premier Inn on Friday works out at 112 quid vs 54 quid at JDW - very little difference in room quality and half the price - when people go to a JDW pub/hotel they ain't going anywhere else for dinner/breakfast so a win win all round - the results yesterday were good in spite of the hammering on tax from Liebour - other pubs/hotels will be shutting up shop pdq in the next few weeks and Reeves and co will have no option but to support the hospitality sector as the alternative is thousands of people joining the welfare queue which will make growth even more difficult to achieve - lets see - gl dyor etc.

PETS down today on pretty thin volume - now trading at a 5 year low - decided to add a few at 191p - looking at the ev/earnings at around 6x for me the downside is already in the sp - sure Jolley's is expanding and will provide extra competition, but PETS has Pets for Vets which is the jewel in the crown as far as I am concerned - BC Partners were rumoured to be preparing a takeover for PETS this time last year which pushed the sp to 263p - at 191p it looks vulnerable to a predator - lets see - gla dyor etc.

I would agree with your analysis DAB - You can see this playing out in front of your eyes - I went to the 02 a few weeks back and the JDW pub - The Stargazer was absolutely packed, me and the Mrs took the last 2 seats for a quick meal/pint before a concert - there are two other pubs close by and they were empty, - that tells you all you need to know - the hotel business was 6pct down at the last update, it is now almost breakeven - this share is going to go up massively going forward imho - lets see - gla dyor etc.
