Short squeeze due?" - Morning Forest - Personally I don't worry about the shorts unless it is a distressed company where shorts are accumulating purely for a pay out - as said before Blackrock are over 3.5pct LONG - that is nearly 80pct of the total short positions so their hedge is merely to balance days like today when there is profit taking after a decent percentage rise - the rest of the shorts will be hedged against options and swaps - MKS will always be subject to the UK Macro so will be up and down but the trend here for me is up - purely on fundamentals - the one fly in the ointment as far as I am concerned is a Labour leadership battle - as much as I cannot stand Starmer and Reeves, two cheeks of the same ass - these are better than the proposed alternatives in Milliband and Raynor, two out and out socialists, - the bond market will hate this scenario and if this plays out it will tank UK equities across the board big time - I am keeping a close eye on political developments with regards to this and also the upcoming by election in a couple of weeks, the May council elections etc and if there is any chance of this happening I will be reducing my UK equities accordingly - gl dyor etc.

Added this morning at 107.1p - UK interest rates now on a downward trend, mortgage rates lowest they have been for some time, Santander now doing a 2pct deposit deal for first time buyers - Persimmon update reflected the recent TW update in that it showed positive signs re their Christmas campaign - all the pieces are now in place for a housing market recovery providing employment doesn't tank - one fly in the ointment here is a possible ousting of Starmer - if that happens Reeves will probably have to fall on her sword, if the replacements are Milliband and Rayner, then look out - the bond market will tank and the fall out for UK stocks will be wide spread - hopefully this doesn't happen - gla dyor etc.

Decided to buy in here a few minutes ago at 444p - fundamentals look sound to me - looks well oversold now - activist case from what I have read has little chance of going through, housing market starting to pick up - will add on further weakness - gla dyor etc.

Added more at 160p - stella update only 3 weeks ago when the sp was at 210p, not much changed since then imo - now nearly 25pct below the 210p sp - rotation out of tech stocks causing the issue here as institutions sell out triggering stop losses for pi's fuelling the sell off- results due 17th March - sp will be bought back heavily before then imho - will add more if it falls further - lets see

Decided to trim a few here at 181.5p for a 9pct profit, not too shabby in the grand scheme of things - will hold the remainder now long term - gla dyor etc.

Nice tick up this morning - fundamentals at 414p when I bought in a few weeks back were just daft - sp driven down and way oversold on macro - was always going to reverse - looking to hold now - gla dyor etc.

Having a bit of a moment this morning - I am wondering if some news has been leaked re tomorrows update and there is some short covering - nobody wants to be short on good results - just ask those shorts holding RR. at 130p😊- let see how it plays out - gla dyor etc

Fender, - it can be disheartening watching a share on a month on month basis - if you are investing rather than trading, best imo not to monitor a share too much - M and S is a blue chip brand which will always be subject to fluctuations on macro so will inevitably go up and down - I hold shares for years, some like Ocado for example I am down on but I take the long term view and add on weakness to average my position - if you believe a share will come good on fundamentals and its competitive position within its sector it is best to stay the course, - time in the market as Mr Buffet says😊- gl dyor etc.

Sold the remainder of my holding here this morning at 190p - oil and gas now under pressure with prices reversing, will look to buy back in should it fall substantially, - gla dyor etc.

Oil tanking good style this morning - Brent down over 5pct atm - should hopefully be good for EZJ - I will be looking to add some more if it falls today - lets see - gla dyor etc

Hardly getting smashed." - Not really - EZJ was UP at 490p yesterday at one point and finished down at 473p - thats a 3.5pct reversal - Wizz was down 25pct only a month ago so is merely recovering a position - no airline wants a war in the Middle East so until this settles anything airline related will be under pressure - gl dyor etc.

Airline related stocks getting smashed today as oil rises (on the assumption the Donald will stomp some ass with Iran) - brent now on the 70 handle and rising - ok for me as I hold BP and Centrica which are on a tear right now - happy to wait it out here and over at EZJ until things simmer down - gla dyor etc.
