"Normally that would be a serious buying signal to day traders like Carrie and I" - for clarification, I am not a day trader Tom - I usually hold for a number of years before selling which is why I have little in the way of sells posted on my profile - I will trade on the odd occasion if I am over exposed in a sector in order to keep 10-15pct of my portfolio in cash, - I did this recently with Tesco, but generally I invest not trade - gl dyor etc.

There appears to be some resistance here around 403/404p - not sure how long it will last and tbh I am surprised directors have not bought some significant amounts by now as we are not in a close period - buy backs good at these prices though and still going through ok so one can hardly say the company is in any form of distress - lets see what plays out this afternoon - I am looking to add more but want to see this resistance hold - gla dyor etc.

Tom - you found 1 person on the BP site that agreed with you about my conduct - I have been on that site for more than 10 years and you found 1 person who was unhappy with my conduct in all that time - that tells people all they need to know -

So that is also a reflection of your investment choices....." - thanks for that I am up well up actually in all these shares - it is called sectorization ie spreading ones risk - as an example of that I have BP shares and EZJ shares so when oil is rising BP usually rises and adversely EZJ falls as the oil rise is considered a detrimental sentiment to airlines - so one share balances out the other spreading the risk - you on the other hand have BP shares so your risk is all in one share - rather like putting all ones money on one horse - nice work

Tom - you need to create a few more pseudonyms so you can like your own posts a few more times - then you can pat yourself on the back and tell yourself how good you are and how other people are fools as they do not believe the same thing as you from an investment point of view - you absolute sad act -

Nicely into profit for me this morning having been down around 3pct last week - agree with JJ here - 7 quid short term target bank the divis in the meantime and top up ex divi to average out whilst keeping an eye on UK political developments going forward - gla dyor etc.

I did say in my post a few days ago that the sp could tick up as funds take up positions ahead of results - nobody wants to be short on a good set of results, they want to be long - Capital Group increasing their long tells you what they expect the results to be - lets see - gla dyor etc.

The Independent reviewed the M and S meal deal - basically saying it was astonishing value - have to concur here - if you went to a restaurant and ordered similar to anything they have on said menu and chose a similar wine to accompany you would be looking at around 50 quid a head minimum where I live - so £12.50 seems pretty reasonable to me😊 - good weekend all

You are buying on a lot of drops ." - Haha - if I knew that I would be living on my own island somewhere - difficult to say where the bottom is - I am buying purely for dividend RPW and investing long term - there is resistance atm around 565p - but looking at the chart the downside looks like 547p - either way I will keep adding in drips - AI effect and Evelyn purchase worries overdone imo - lets see - gl dyor etc.

LL - no I am down around 5pct overall atm matey - but will keep adding - re AI - in the UK regulated "advice" remains restricted to authorised firms/individuals to ensure compliance and accountability. The FCA cautions that general AI (like ChatGPT) is not regulated and can give inaccurate, harmful advice. - The same applies to pension advice - you have to have human accountability - if you have decided to select a pension or an investment based on AI and it goes belly up their is no Financial Ombudsman or Financial Services Compensation Scheme to fall back on as the advice is unregulated - gl dyor etc.

Hey Arsinal17 my old mate - glad to see you are having a swell time enjoying your retirement! - I sold off chunks here as you did from just over a pound onwards - only holding 10pct of my original holding here now - hopefully for an increased dividend down the pipe to add to my overall divi pot - best wishes C -

Fromage - you have to include both the interim dividend and the final dividend to get the overall yield for the share - gl dyor etc
