Yes I am sure Neil is probably regretting that decision JJ - 222/239 equals a paper loss of around 7pct - as I said before I am holding long term here - no reason to sell, momentum is now WITH Marks - Christmas will be huge for them, it always is, but this year people will want to make up for not having one last year so expect spectacular returns for Marks - gla dyor etc

Commonsense5 - I am a MKS holder and have been for many years, I have also bought RMG in the past, selling them when the unions were becoming too prominent but I take on board what you said of which the majority is correct and yes they could go north big time next week on an analyst beat - I may dip back in to RMG at some point today, - will see how the US opens and if it presents a buying opportunity first - apologies for adverse comments on the MKS board - most of the guys over there are good eggs but you are always going to get one or too that take exception - gl dyor etc

I think the negative narrative on telecom stocks may be changing in light of the BT results - I hold BT and VOD - personally I think they will continue to move upwards until the results are due on Tuesday and assuming VOD come in above analysts estimates then we could well see a big uptick as we did with BT - gla dyor etc

Blackrock closed their short position on the 10th so are now long - this tells you, if you still need to be told where this share is going -

Personally I think the reintroduction of dividends will propel the share higher along with an increment in advertising revenue going forward (world cup etc) and very little in the way of debt which is reducing year on year - the bid for me would be a bonus but there is enough for me to retain all my shares in ITV and that is what I will do - 160p and I will think about selling but not until we get there or thereabouts.

Tom - I have been invested in MKS for over 3 years and bought most of them at the bottom below a quid and therefore made a substantial paper profit yesterday (please go onto the MKS site for verification of this) - I have never seen any post from you on there so please just give it up now - you made a mistake with ITV, I have made plenty in trading for 30 odd years, it is no big deal, just admit you got it wrong and move on.

Never wrong to take a profit Neil so well done matey, - I am in this for the long haul, a return to the FTSE and a return to dividends, it was always going to be a long term play for me - plenty of broker upgrades to come on the back of these results which will add impetus to the share - at 500m forecast for pre tax profit, that would indicate a share price around 4 quid - obviously there are headwinds that could affect this going forward and it remains to be seen if this target is reached or not -

I have said in numerous posts that MKS will go north in the lead up to their results announcement as fund managers minds are concentrated to hedge and make sure they don't take a hiding tomorrow - this has proved to be the case, with the share price up around 10pct in the last month, where we go tomorrow will of course depend on the results but more on the rhetoric - Rowe has made mistakes in the past concentrating on negative headwinds rather than concentrating on the positives - I hope this is not the case tomorrow - gla dyor etc

I think just profit taking - money off the table after a healthy rise over the last few days - I am very confident for Wednesday - I think MKS will have taken market share in clothes and food - the only downer will be logistics and filling orders for Christmas - I just hope the trading statement doesn't major on this and concentrates on the turnaround - gla dyor etc
