Meanwhile people see other companies making progress so lose a bit of faith here and jump in elsewhere. You can’t blame them for that. The sooner we get an RNS from SS the better.

I disagreed with SS when the options were effectively rolled over due to a closed period since there are rules to enable the exercise of options in circumstances where they will otherwise lapse. I am not sure we have seen the new terms yet. Meanwhile opportunities to deal including exercise options happen just after price sensitive announcements so he could get on with it after, for example, there is an RNS about BOPD from the current project.

The directors are not always in closed period and SS should understand the PR value of putting his money where ours is at the earliest opportunity. Equally people question why he hasn’t. I see their point.

I live in Surrey and am about to collect grandsons who are on half term holiday this week.

As the last RNS re Bergen showed they had less than 3% there is no further obligation for them to say they have sold any more.

Wizard makes a fair point about ignoring trolls but of course people rise to the bait. It is quite strange that the guys on twitter make it worse by copying and commenting on those posts. All that does is promote those posters and this website.

Yes there are some still to sell but with high volumes it won’t take long. Overhangs like this are a pain in the gonads but the sp has done well today despite that sale, which gives encouragement I would suggest.

Solo may well have a need for funds and second guessing where the price will be in a week is not sensible. Better the bird in the hand etc

The price was well below market prices at the time it was reported so the price might have given a lift when the sale was finished.

Odd on that is a Solo sell. This is good since it helps clear the overhang. We could get an RNS about it tomorrow if they have gone under the 3% threshold

The trouble with conspiracy theorists is they believe everything the govt says is a lie and look around for their own reason to fit their theories. Personally I believe the govt on this one based on the facts as known, not least that traces of the nerve agent was found in their hotel room. Unless of course the govt is peddling a lie, which I think is far fetched.

Meanwhile we await the black stuff from Angus, which seems to be progressing nicely. I am off on holiday next eeek and anticipate and hope that by the time I am back in early October the talk will be about production and tankers rather than conspiracy theories about the Russian mafia state. I suppose this sort of discussion happens when we are waiting for the next instalment.

I agree. The success to date of the Portland well should begin to underpin the project. It would be good to see revenue to offset the costs and avoid more fund raisings.

That is an excellent speech.

It is possible that the company has been storing to wait for a clear run to the site to minimise swampy trouble. It does make sense if that is the case. We shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves here though it is positive and easy to get excited.

Anyone who says an RNS was ‘logged’ is talking rubbish. Nobody knows. In my working life ( now retired) I issued lots of RNSs, including on AIM, and the only external people who knew were the company brokers who looked over the more complex ones in advance. Sometimes brokers issue them on behalf of a company depending on the capability and capacity of the company administrators. They can also be sent after hours to appear at 7am next working day but nobody will know.
