Some time back Vonk came up with possible valuations based on the BOPD we extract- something like 8p per 100 barrels. I can’t find it but if it could be reposted to give us a reminder of the possibilities that would be good. I prefer to focus on that and timescales.

I don’t get this fixation of some posters with other companies and posters on different message boards. This is the ANGS message board. If people want to comment on someone’s post then that should be done where the post was made in the first place.

I have had issues with exactly this type of deal through iii in the past and think it relates to limits on order sizes for instant online deals. You can place an order, though that means you can’t be certain of the price.

I reckon you are better chasing up the Nomad rather than wasting your time emailing Vonk directly- you might feel better emailing him but it achieves nothing. I remember him saying that with a small team they aren’t always around. Attention to detail is clearly outside the competence of the management team.

This sort of meeting lasts about 10 minutes depending on whether any shareholders turn up and vote along with votes already submitted.

Rodders you are right. But this is all well over a year away with costs to get both planning permission and kit in place.

Something to add to the mix. With the govt in a pickle over Brexit today it could fall and bring Corbyn into office. He would pander to the green lobby, swampies et al and cause onshore oilies a problem.

The market says the numbers aren’t good enough and there is the long wait for production unfortunately.

I hadn’t been aware of the comments and wonder if by drawing attention to them you are doing yourself no favours.

It is all about "commutation". Really? Anyway the good news is that it doesn't matter because in the end both companies will come good. I don't see any value in rubbishing either. An RNS from SS would be a help for sure.

Meanwhile the guy on twitter says he doesn't take any notice of what you say and then promptly posts what you say!

Good post by crocqman. Some people do delight in playing the man, or woman, rather than, or sometimes alongside, the ball. Superiority complexes among the alleged experts.

Anyway on the placing, my view is that the last accounts and cash flow statement suggested to me that some more headroom could be useful. Delays happen. So I see the additional £2m now as a better option than running up against a cash flow panic at the end of the year and relying on market spivs to get us out of a hole. I will be voting in favour of all the resolutions.

Perhaps you might re-read the document more carefully before slagging off the company. Admission of the shares to the market is proposed to be on 22 November, following approval at the general meeting the previous day.

Though we all do it I often think it better not to be watching prices first thing. I once told myself never to deal before 9am till the market settles. I haven’t lived up to that promise to myself.
