The company which holds the shares on our behalf will aggregate the votes they are asked to submit and send one form in. Let’s say ii has 10,000,000 shares on the Angus register those shareholders who ask them to vote will be totted up, say 5,000,000, and ii will send that in. ii will not send individual shareholder numbers because so far as Angus is concerned ii is the only shareholder.

From my distant memory a requisitionist has the right to have included with the notice of meeting a statement of up to 1000 words explaining the logic for the proposals. That being the case, information on the shambles over Pretorius’ shares and the various delays could well see the light of day, from one angle at least. No doubt Vonk will wish to counter the attacks on his management. So with any luck we might get some clarity for a change.

Something must be right- despite the incompetence of the board with its repeated foul-ups- this outfit is still , despite itself, on course to get the black stuff out o& the ground. Just think how good it could be if sensible people were running the show.

Second- borrowing from the likes of Y bothers me. Vonk seems desperate to get on with the FDP for Balcombe but it suggests cash is short.

Third- it would have been good to get an update on Brockham. Some good operational news would be a help.

I am not sure how you can ‘tactfully pounce’ on an acquisition. Anyhow my personal opinion is that SS would be better off hanging onto cash rather than using it for acquisitions partly because he has form in part cash and share acquisitions and diluting even further, and partly to avoid a panic capital raising.

Silly conspiracy theories are inevitable as we have a quiet news period and/ or when the share price falls.

I feel Vonk will have a number of questions to answer at the next shareholder meeting but for now we are told everything is set to go. Perhaps people should accept that and not instead assume someone in here knows any better, whatever they say.

The term "outstanding" is more USA than UK. We use the term "issued", or "in issue".

You can get this either by looking at the share price or fundamentals pages at the top of this bb. Alternatively look at a recent RNS where shares have been issued - that shows the accurate latest number as they are required to show updates when shares are issued.

I thought the update was sensible given the chat in places like this demanding information.

My guess is the sellers had speculated on a BOPD number and got it wrong. Stale bulls in old money.

I would think the reason for the holiday is because of the cost and availability of staffing. Perfectly sensible. Nothing to do with councils or landowners. How someone could come up with that tripe says something about mindsets in here at times.

As for news we have at least something to look forward to. The markets as a whole are dismal with not much to be positive about though we are a potential bright spot. Here’s hoping.

Volatity on market opening is a regular feature. Not many shares have been traded so movements are exaggerated. Chill for heavens sakes.

News will come when there is something worthwhile to report. People shouldn’t take other posters’ expectations as fact.
