Thing is any bid above 45p will increase the SP..cos the market will have a new valuation

I am assuming that price will go to 85% ISH of the bid.

So it would be good to get an initial figure to uplift sentiment.

Personally I doubt an rns on Monday morning..keeping it a secret over the weekend would be hard.

On Monday there are two weeks for some notification one way or the other.

Personally I think sidara are pretty serious...they also know if not successful they will be in the sin bin for another 6 months...and will be aware that others will be looking at the radar.

I expect some fun and games in the next couple of weeks on the SP as fear v fomo...

Mac...wood have been battered recently and I guess there is little faith left in CEO.

The good thing is sidara already looked under the bonnet..so clear they want it - just the price.

I still think around 90p would be a decent offer and most would take it considering the last 4 months.

It has also seemingly given CEO a kick in the Harris to get finance sorted...which I think he will need if he is going to reject any offer.

The fact they have a suitor should help finance as well.

Well someone leaked it straight away to ft...prob fed up of sp in 20s and the CEO doing nowt.. I suspect this is where we will hear about it first.

It is frustrating waiting for something to happen - especially with multiple rns every day on form blah blah..tbh i would have expected a figure of their initial potential offer to have been released by now.

However all this waiting does give time for wood to sort finance out.

Firstly this can only strengthen their position if productive and raise any take over bid.

Secondly if the finance is sorted out we won't need a deal anyway as it is on the route to recovery.

Also often the SP rises in anticipation of an rns...but actually drops on news.

It is why I am having a hard time fathoming what is going on with wood SP.

We have the ingredients for more of a recovery...guess the clown CEO has really lost the confidence of the market

Last time round - sidara made i think 4 bids - there was a 35p increase from first to last

they will of course start with a low ball offer - natural in business

and then increase as necessary.

they expect to pay less than previously offered but at the same time will be realistic otherwise they would not approach again.

i do wonder if they get knocked back again - if they will go hostile?

i don't agree with shorting - i think it is a scummy way of earning a living and can destroy companies and rob investors.

there arent enough trades to evidence someone pre selling shares to drop the price. there are no shorts disclosed on the relevant bodies.

check lse - even they have nothing listed on the relevant tab

spread betting - i know nothing about. however i suspect for it to work you would need a) lots of shares being traded and b) significant movement.

cnsl is flat lining most of the time. who would match your bet in the opposite direction?

the small sels which you consider well timed and strategic to hit sp - i go with occams razor..people eventually sell up as they either need the money or have finally given up on the share . the amounts are small because that is all that is left of their much larger amount that they initially invested

look at the sp - it is 1.75p above the historic low and a whole £1 below its high. that is the real story.

i would also believe the company - when they tell you this will be yet another loss making year then you better believe it

Exactly cold spy - the finance of the debt wont be a problem to some.

wood had sorted it out much more debt previously - the only possible thing against them at the moment is that the current management would be better at working as clowns in a circus

Firstly once they brought up finance in such a bad way...they had to address it....and salvage sp.

Secondly I don't think they want the sidara offer but have to be in a position to refuse it - so need finance sorted more than ever .

Sitara will make their offer with the debt in mind...like they did the previous 9 times
