In my opinion the shorts think that the company will reject any offer as they previously have 9 times or whatever it is.

The difference is that now the company are under pressure from Share holders - the owners.

They will only be able to reject the offer if they can prove the company is worth more than that offered.

I think it is a mistake on the shorter part...being greedy.

For the company to reject the offer they are going to have to present a financial package that would restore the so anyway.

Shorter made good money..but sometimes being greedy and thinking you are too clever can backfire

But you can't say that the current sentiment will not affect

the offer...

The SP is where it is because of bad management. ..continue with the same management and the company's worth will reflect it.

If there is no issues with debt ..then this should have been related...otherwise it shows that the management is not to be trusted with shareholder wealth

If there is an issue then the the offer will reflect it

Pro..of course sidara will chance a low ball offer...it is business with a poker hand.

They will say look at so....we are offering 3 x that.

It will be up to wg to show that the value is much greater..both to sidara and to any II who are worried by the current mess

The problem is that we don't know what the fundamentals are.

The terrible presentation left a question mark on debt that was not there before. If as I suspect the issue was just the CEO being surly and not aware of how not

Answering a question satisfactorily would go down..then OK..we should be a lot higher.

But if indeed there are issues then that is a chink in the armour that sidara can exploit. I am assuming worst case scenario and then anything better will be a bonus. Hence my 90p figure.

Is there potential for wood group to recover ? Absolutely. However with this clown in charge I would like to be out. I don't trust any CEO who does not protect his share price

I have gone long 300k long on the working assumption they are totally in play and will go cheaply unless they have a solid plan B. In effect this is as close to a win win situation as the market ever throws up assuning you have an average share cost of sub 40p - which I accept is not many and virtually '

They have wanted wood for a long time. They know this is their best chance to get it.

They will try low ball initial but my guess is the CEO will hold out for more..until he gets to a point where he has to be realistic with the mess he has made.

I think it will be a lot easier to come to terms this time.

Still think 90p is a safe bet..the rumour on x was very believable in terms of the figure of £1.10.

Can't see share holders accepting a dismissal unless the finance is sorted out beforehand.
