The problem.is people selling shares to make 10-20-30%.

The shorts will have to close and if shares are sold they will buy them....already I suspect the MMs have manipulated the price to allow them to exit.

If they can't but..and time goes on there will be a squeeze..if they are holding positions when the news of a deal comes through..then they are screwed.

James..sidara have made 9 previous attempts at WG.

Now the sp has never been distressed - so this is their best chance.

For me it will all come down to where WG stands with financing its debt? If there is no problem renewing after Oct 26 then I think the CEO will resist sidaras attempts.. As I said previously fine by me. If finance is not a problem we will be back to at least £1 sooner or later.

If on the other hand there are issues with finance . Then they will need to sell

James..the shorts have done very well on WG with two crash points. It id a ftse 350 company. These sorts of movements are one offs.

They could rely on fear to keep the sp supressed but the news of sidaras interest has thrown the cat among the pidgeons

Stumpy..the share has been very volatile..even on the quiet consolidating days we have had more % movement than today. It quickly went up 4% First thing then climbed a bit more and then stagnated.

I have seen this before and then withina couple of days shorts disappeared...looks too similar to me..i would have expected more fluctuation today

James..my suspicion is the shorts are closing..the so today feels very manipulated. After 60% crashes and 40% climb yesterday..we have barely moved all day.

If I was a betting man then I would say the MMs are letting the shorters exit at mates rates

Any shorter should know they have had their fun but the risk v reward ratio has turned

Sitara already know their top figure now ...they will try to low ball offer at the start. But the company will push higher..should be resolved quickly.

Actually I think the problem with finance was that he said they were exploring all options..when later quizzed if this meant equity..he just said as I dsaidvwe are exploring all options. To me he sounded petulant at being asked the same question again and repeated it - rather than confirming the possibility of equity. He should have known better than to answer in this way eg " it is unlikely but should we ever need to we would notify share holders etc"

However it was the same broker that then rated thevsharevat 20p...I think a mix of reading between lines ( or misread) and reaction to fear caused by the clown

They do not need an immediate raise and I suspect if ( in my view unlikely event that) at any time they did need quite frankly the large one quoted by a broker they would need a share holder vote. Which they clear,y wouldnt get if there is the possibility of a takeover instead.

The crash in so was initially cos of review and the fear of the unknown. We now know it won't be as bad as the market priced in but then had the terrible update by the CEO. His presentation caused a lot of damage ..yes the cash flow will be negative for another year..but I don't even know why funding for debt running out in 18 month is such a huge issue. They have renewed debt with a lot worse end of year results.

The fear was down to a very poor CEO presentation. The clown needs to go
