biden's announcement has no bearing on ODX until/unless they sell a test over there.

Whilst USA approval would be great it will still be dependent on something that the sales team seem to struggle with - selling the product.

personally i hope the promise of USA jam is not distracting from the process of getting the gov loot from the contract already awarded. colin "cant sell a test in a pandemic" needs to close the discussions with a deal pronto before they lose out. After that USA could be icing rather than jam

to be fair to colin "cant sell a test in a pandemic" he has been at the mercy of certain processes in the last 18 months. the initial wait on the gov i don't blame him for at all. however over 3 months "talking " to companies who have been approved by gov and presumably want to sell product - you have to question his endeavour?

where he must take full blame is pumping before director sells / negative RNS to self destruct SP/ employing wallybrook who is about a useful as a chocolate tea pot / running a sales team who think big launch = big lunch

gad is a bit of a double edged sword. gets odx a certain exposure but at the same time going to be cheaper to whoever they get in with - and no way odx can compete.
I do hope colin "cant sell a test in a pandemic" has taken that into account.

i was invited to take part in an antibody trial back in April/May. it was a self test at home and you inform them of results. Obviously this was before the "strength" of antibody chart development.
Personally I welcome any move towards antibody testing - especially as from what i am hearing any booster vax will be pfizer or other mRNA

i can only imagine it is a game of chicken between odx and company X...see who blinks first.
I wonder how often they actual talk? or is it just a weekly email of "have you changed your mind yet?"

just very frustrating ...and i suppose the only good thing is that the virus seems intent on staying around until colin actually gets round to selling a test...fingers crossed

my own view/guess is Colin "cant sell a test in a pandemic" wants more revenue per test than the other company is prepared to offer. i suspect he is figuring that he holds the cards with the gov contract and/or that the mologic test will come through in time and can be used instead.

if true and the gamble pays off and more revenue then i will congratulate him as a genius...... on the other hand if he blows it all and the gov start buying more chinese or offer another manufacturing company a contract then i will be putting a voodoo curse on the useless porridge gobbler.

dangerous game and personally i would prefer less income but guaranteed ..and then use the prestige for more international sales

As for buying and investing - I take full responsibility for my actions - based on research/instinct and SP movement. If others want to base theirs on anon BB then that is up to them - but not sure they can really blame anyone else for their decision to press the button.

i am not sure what credible evidence you have? anon postings?

As for balance - you will see if/when colin finally sells a test and the SP rises. Quite frankly a 50% drop in 6 months of talks/applications and no significant sales of any of the portfolio of products - does not lead to the justification in rosy posts from me.

Really? Is the assumption that those who are will only post positively? as if they would be scared to be critical? because it might negatively affect share price?

If one really has faith in this share then hearing criticism should not be a problem. I suspect despite my regular moaning of colin "cant sell a test in a pandemic" I have more confidence that it will come good in the end - the reason i am still here and haven't sold out - than some who ramptastic at every opportunity.
plus i am not sure how much comments on here affect the SP anyway?

i suspect wallybrook got his knuckles rapped over the tesla tweet - so looks like this is the extent of their PR. in which case one has to question the cost?

whilst the RNS is good news - the market is not going to reward being able to submit documentation.

Approval would give some uplift but ultimately colin needs to be able to sell a test in a pandemic.

MIP - I agree that we should be soon entering peak testing time. that is why ODX need to get a move on because if they don't finalise those talks and start producing the gov will look elsewhere. the question is - is it easier for the gov to find an alternative to ODX than it is for ODX to sell to some one else? i think you know my answer to this. if colin" cant sell a test in a pandemic " is holding out for better terms then it could be a dangerous game.

We haven't missed the boat ...but ...what we don't know is how long that boat will be at sea for? mutations could hopefully make the virus more benign or be not identifiable by current tests. A medicinal cure could be found to be taken at first sign. more companies enter the fray etc etc...all of which could impact ODX ability to sell their products. lets face it we should not be wanting this pandemic to continue because ODX haven't got round to selling a test!

in my view Colin needs to feel the pressure to get out and sell. i understand the attraction of head buried in the sand - 250 staff/they must be doing something/we trust in colin /fundamentals etc but i think the time for excusing him has past. he needs to deliver and pronto or that boat might be missed.......and that really does not bear thinking of in terms of SP.

if colin can not issue a positive RNS on the fantastic news of gov contract award - is he really a natural salesman? being CEO of a manufacturing company needs that skill or the ability to collect a good sales team. As well as good PR. so far I see no evidence.

not trying to be a nice guy at all.....also not trying to be a bad guy either .....just being the hissed off guy. who never in a million years expected to be so under water on what should have been a dead cert. the contract was awarded and we should have been sitting pretty on a rerate

mip - i didn't say they will...there is a possibility that they might have since the award 6 months ago...

as for negative stuff - yep as the SP drops I tend to get more negative......

mikodx - personally i don't think that odx will have a chance of a big success in china. they may sell a few units and then chinese companies will use it to reverse engineer and make their own at a fraction of the cost.
clearly the sales team could not sell the last ice cold pepsi in the desert - going by last year's figures and the lack of anything from their "big launch"

i agree that quite probably odx have got the gov contract and taken their foot off the gas on everything else.....My suspicion is that they were gearing up for a large chunk of their capacity already being taken up and possibly did not want to over commit or else maybe it is just inertia/laziness. the trouble is without the gov contract being fulfilled what exactly are they busy with? all these approval applications seem to have been started much later than they should have.

they were a tin pot company before covid ......they have been given a unique opportunity - we don't know how long it will last...there will be mutations/better tests developing and hopefully a medicine to cure. we need colin "can't sell a test " to step up to the plate and quickly - or at least quicker than his timeframe seems to be
