My experience is very different. I had to wait longer for a telephone appointment (2-3 weeks instead of 1 week) and then wait again because it was decided that a physical appointment was necessary (2 weeks).
Not all appointments need to be physical but it would be better if the patient had the choice rather than the receptionist - who can be incredibly rude at my local surgery.

There is no question that there is a market for LFT - there has been for a very long time.

The question is what are ODX going to do about it?

There is a pandemic and a shortage but Colin still has not sold anything significant. When is he going to accept reality and snatch that gov contract that he has been endlessly discussing for the last 3-4 months?
as time goes on more company's will enter the market...it wont be who has the best test but who sells the best - ands quite frankly ODX are not even at the races at the moment

glitter - ODX still has the potential to come good - if they can finalise these talks that have been going on for months. Time is running out and so it really has to be in October or I fear they will have blown it completely. If they can't get the gov contract they have been awarded then forget selling outside uk

Colin "can't sell a test in a pandemic with a shortage" needs to get his act together. At the moment he would struggle to sell petrol.....

Wad - the problem is that it is all based on an assumption of sales of visitect, antibody and DHSC contract. If they can sell then i would potentially agree on the forecast...however it has been 6 months since DHSC contract was awarded and still they are just talking....antibody test? sales of visitect in a foreign market?....odx need to up their game

oke - would be great if true. however my suspicion is that ODX are possibly getting a relative small fee for cassetting and pouching on account of all the equipment being loaned by the government.

I wonder if that has possibly been a factor in the elongated talks process - if it is indeed with surescreen? they might be currently getting such a good deal that they are happy to continue that way until their own plant is developed?

post of the day - presumably one of the 250 employees has this job? clearly colin "cant sell a test in a shortage in a pandemic" either does not keep an eye on his employees and/or can clearly pick pony staff like his sales/pr team.

just have to hope its not one of these bodies with questions for final approvals or actually somebody in a key market returning a call!

i think what really gets me is that colin was probably aware of possible delays when he wrote the damaging RNS / tweets that destroyed the SP. if we had been over a pound and then down to 80p treading water rather than 50/40p it would have been a lot less painful for the eternal wait

wad - the angle i am coming at is slighly different....when there directors sold it obviously raised question marks - for me at the time these were along the lines of the gov were going to sit on their hanfs - sp goint so drift..can't blame them getting get out at a nice profit ..you can always buy back at a later stage should you wish. lets forget the underhand pump - assume it was a coincidence

the question is - could we be supplying to the government already if colin had put pen to paper with the "approved" companies. Assuming that we get these approvals will the gov already have the stock they need?

If I am right then it is a dangerous game that Colin is playing because sure screen are upgrading their facilities and may soon not need odx. With no sales other than potential gov contract Colin could be shooting himself in the foot by being being greedy..get less cash but at least something and then try to sell the rest of the capacity in his key markets

phil - we dont test for flu..
if (hopefully) the virus mutates into a more transmissible (???) but more benign version the gov won't be giving free tests. people won't pay to find out whether they have flu or covid if its not deadly

seems a lot of people want to make excuses for colin not selling a test in a pandemic...fine....but when other companies have taken ALL the pie ....don't cry when he is waffling on about his new key market in afghanistan or wherever it will be by then

so we are in a pandemic...the UK has a shortage... and yet still colin has not put pen to paper with approved supplier. he would rather spread jam on his waffle about other key markets
