blu - i hear you mate. There has been a number of times when i have said to myself - just sell the !0% rise and buy back in next week when it does its usual drop with a tidy profit. The trouble is by murphy's law I know that the one time I do it will be the time colin "can't sell a test in a pandemic" actually gets an approval through! very frustrating

odx were very lucky to be in a good position at the start of the pandemic - they seem unable to apply for approvals in a timely manner . finalise talks with a company that should also want to produce a test. the fear is that they will completely miss out unless there is some sort of urgency as more and more competition arises from companies whoi can bring a test to market

This has to be a concern. We are now in the 2nd half of October which was supposed to be the new Sept/august......April etc.
If Colin "can't sell a test" does not get a move on then somebody else will grab the contract.

We desperately need that contract because ODX have no proven sales experience of anything anywhere.

i think it is good they haven't tweeted. firstly SP always drops when they do and secondly it would seem desperate. Best to let speculation get hold and some sentiment drive SP - maybe they are finally learning how to play the AIM game

I do think Colin owes investors some meaningful explanation on what is going on. Has he blown the government contract by all talk and no action? or can it be salvaged?
What is the strategy for selling? Is it time to get a new sales team? why are they still paying for the PR company that upset everyone?

I gave colin "cant sell a test" the benefit of the doubt for two months after "big things" April....it been 3 whole months since i stopped and still "nada"

If this isn't the month - then I think we are in trouble. I don't see how "conversations" can go on for another whole month.

jubbly - good post. though i really hope you are wrong about £374m contract. Colin couldn't sell petrol in the present drought ! - so his chances of selling out of uk are worringly low. he hasnt managed to sell anything in the uk or china or africa so i am not sure on what evidence anyone is confident on eu or USA. He is running out of new "key" markets

for professional use and LFT seems to be more used as a self test. which means we will then be told that they are applying for home use - so waiting again ...would seem more time wasted. did they have to get pro use before self test ? if not why not do that at the beginning?

i have stated that i do believe it will come good...even if colin is incompetent as well as the sales team and PR wally brook.
however the drop from 90p is exactly why i have nothing good to say about this share

flashy - i am in the same boat as you. i averaged down by buying about 50,000 shares to add to existing 100,000. this was on the assumption that August was the new April or whatever month it was.
I am too heavily invested for my liking considering Colin can't sell a test in a pandemic with a shortage.

personally i doubt there will be a placing - i think colin knows he would be toast after the absolutely dismal incompetence of the last 6 months.
i suspect they got marginal payment for packaging sure screen's stuff...who clearly do not need ODX anymore..lets hope ODX have been talking to someone else as well. which covered overheads.

i am sure i read somewhere that a lot of the staff were agency so if in fact not doing anything they could be let go quite easily

in some ways the end of the packaging might kick start colin the sloth....
