computer - i think the backlash after tesla gate meant that "Wally will make you broke" were put on extremely tight reins. however then what exactly are we paying them for? i honestly have not seen any added value since their very disastrous attempts failed so dismally

funny how CK said in a presentation - we took on board investors complaints about poor communication. however since then the answer seems to be no communication at all.

i think they are very wary at the moment - and we will be watching very carefully for any pumping just before their free options become available

unfortunately there are still too many on here attacking critical posters - even though unfortunately we seemed to be proved right time after time - even though we don't want to be. if they spent half as much time and effort calling out colin "cant sell a test" then maybe we would have had a new CEO by now. no doubt they would have been playing piano as the titanic sunk

seems odx had no issue denying any positive rumours - "don't order a tesla" comes to mind as well as speeding tickets . however anything to defend or support SP seems distasteful to them.

a few director buys would also look positive but alas they don't have any faith in themselves it seems.

computer - the real question is what did he do for most of 2021?

he clearly spent time more time on reading his pay check than on reading the contract.

unfortunately colin "cant sell any test anywhere" is seemingly part of the entitled generation..it is not his fault the SP has crashed ...he bears no responsibility...he does not want to be a scapegoat

yes the gov shafted us....however colin still had a business to run. should have been a plan b/c/d
not just moaning that a contract (that offered no security or minimum orders ) he signed he let expire

mr big - the issue is that the market cap is i believe 3 times what it was pre covid.

and we haven't really sold anything since then.....we did a wee bit of packaging i suppose but that was woth £100k or something.

i don't know the guy but tbh i can't blame him for thinking that way. i was thinking of £2.50 when they got the gov contract - and at that time there was also the promise of half the capacity being sold commercially - presumably at a higher margin.

tbh i am surprised we are down at this level...not that i think the company is necessarily worth more but i had thought sentiment and people averaging down would return it to above 20p..Colin has really destroyed every ounce of sentiment and it is disgraceful how he has kept silent this week after the rns on monday.
if ever there was a time for tweeting then this was it.

i am really at a loss for words on how he can stay in the job and at which SP the majority of shareholders will say enough is enough..

do we have to go to 10p before people wake up and he does the honourable thing?

Trevor - lol...I think you will find I have been saying Colin should be out for quite some time..others have accused me of talking the SP down or even being responsible for its demise...of course calamity bears no blame!

To be fair to BJ..I think he was taken in like the rest of us. Which is what as it start d to unravel he could not handle it and got more and more aggressive.

I suspect he lost a lot and had the guilt of all the piping he had done that trapped other pi. Unfortunately the bully in her m came out rather than admitting there was the other side to the story..

As for reg...he is in top secret hush hush meetings with the most senior staff in the land...would not be surprised if he Walter Mitty in disguise!

computer - i suspect the SP will be back above 20p by then and they will greedily accept ...then the twitter pumps of busy busy to sell out before end of tax year. rinse and repeat..

tecbadger - good post and i agree that uk diagnostics will struggle more than their european counterparts in eu and should have been supported by uk gov

however odx have not managed to sell anything significant from an already very good portfolio. in addition half the capacity was supposed to be sold "commercially" and not gov contract based

they have nobody but themselves to blame for not understanding their biggest and hugely important contract

if they were going to go for gold in eu - the applications should have been put in much earlier to stand any chance.

i really can't fathom why they spent time on applying for pro use in usa for a device whose strength is self test. they are now going to do a feasibility study to see if usa (one of their previously stated key markets) is worth applying for self test? i am sorry but i suspect that by the time they decide (it has already been almost 2 months ) it will be too late again

you only have to look at NCYT compared to ODX. they got stuffed by the uk gov but it doesn't matter because they were already working on other commercial avenues. yes the SP took a massive hit but they will recover. can we honestly say the same with ODX? even if approvals drop there are massive doubts over their sales strategy

just remember what you learnt from this experience

red flags are :

1) check out the CEO pedigree
2) if directors sell - run. do the directors buy?
3) don't trust gov
4) if things take longer than expected - for no reason - ask yourself why?
5) look at if a company has a coherent strategy..would applying for pro test in usa make sense for what is ideally a self test kit
6) if Q&A have typos - this probably reflects their approval application form filling
7) how are RNS presented?
8)how company tweets ? does it conflict with rns?
9) periods of silence do not mean busy busy bust things are going on - it probably means nothing
10) if the company stand by poor CEO / poor PR team / poor sales team then don't expect things to chsange
