never say never with odx. personally can't see at 8-10p. mind you i was wrong about not being in teens for long.
do you have any rationale behind your price prediction?

personally i think we will move back to 15p. then be interesting to see if can get back to 20p without any major rns. i can't see a logical reason for this sudden drop through teens other than colin going. which was good rather than bad news

eazy - whilst sounds great....my suspicion is if mologic get self test approval in us they will set up their on factory in us or buy from someone out there. seems crazy to add on transportation costs to a test that we are prob not cheap with anyway. they would prob need more than we can supply on our own .

Mcadder...if it is self test in USA that they are short of then it won't matter to odx. They have only applied for pro use..which is crazy for lft...but there it is

Shal....firstly I think odx have a much better portfolio. Secondly they got a gov contract which they signed with no minimum and a short expiry date. The fact that it expired without odx supposedly noticing might suggest that they didn't really do due diligence legally

kevin - that is a danger . the recent one in germany came to nothing. they looked very amateur with a non prime position. lets hope the new guy knows the issues and does something about it.

i am guessing the focus will be on food tolerance and hiv tests as we have no covid test approval applications for that part of the world?

colin seemed like a decent guy - but we didn't pay him £200k a year for being everyone's favourite uncle. he was in charge of a test manufacturing company in a pandemic. 2 roles - produce and sell. the problem is that he could not sell or acquire a decent sales team. far from losing his job the govt contract probably kept him in position as we never got to see how rubbish he was. if since feb he had had to rely on commercial contracts he would have been gone before.

he never sold anything of a very good portfolio. no strategy or wrong strategy (pro test in usa) and no judge of talent in the work place (sales / wally broke). it is hard to imagine anyone doing a worse job with such a good portfolio.

hopefully approvals drop soon. eu self test especially then it is up to the new guy.

the company have said no placing in short term. they can't keep repeating it. people want clarification on placings from companies and then some "never seem to believe it". sorry but that smacks of agenda to me.

i totally agree on the internal promotion - i think he should have been interim with a chance to prove himself whilst they got other candidates. however i guess they thought that continuity from someone who knew the company might give SP security. they might have got away with it but unfortunately boris came out with his tactic of diverting attention from partygate - opening up!

Shal..I noticed a huge spread yesterday that did not seem right. Assuming lots sold since the beginning of the week you would expect that the MMS would want to sell the ones they had to buy. A huge spread of course does not make a buy attractive as straight away you are down considerably.

Of course the advertised spread will probably not have been the actual spread on trying dummy buys/sells or indeed doing them for real.

However advertising it is what most people see.
I am not saying there are big buyers out there or that it is hard to buy..just it didn't make sense to me...but then again that is the whole market strategy of MIS information.

My belief is that there will be a gap up in the teens when the market feels it wants to balance the books.

But only my ramblings. I am not giving any advice on buy hold or sell. I still haven't sold any of my approx 80,000 shares. I still think there are twists and turns to come. Hopefully we are due a bit of a winning streak though at this moment with radio silence from Alva it is probably based more on hope than evidence

Scaff...I agree that they will not attract new shareholders without some kind of pr. New CEO is the perfect opportunity. It is clear that the crash through the teens has lost of lth. They might come back with a good outlook but not with any indication that things have /are changing.

Guess it is just sit and wait....quite honestly I have changed my mind now and would be quite happy with odx being bought out. I have a dream company in mind

i am guessing you mean the gov reaction to omicron? as far as i can see omicron is still spreading like wildfire and the need for testing globally has not changed other than the worrying decision of boris.

As for the rns - it was great news that colin gone and no placing needed.
unfortunately odx radio silence has created another vacuum and uncertainty in the market. the market will punish you every time for that and it has. a change in ceo is usually a big deal. companies use it to promote themselves and the new era. fair enough it may have been very short notice for the new guy - but is he going to be an active go getter with a high profile or another colin hiding and fiddling.

what odx really needed is the former. they already had the latter

Disciple . I am still positive (now that Colin has gone) ..I just wish the new guy had at least introduced himself to the market. I think the drop in SP suggests the market agrees as it is probably wondering if this change is for the good..I am still willing to give him benefit of the doubt. However we really need some good news or communication and update on what the plans are.

Dibs - that was the concern of mine with new CEO coming from existing employees. However I am willing to give him a chance. I would have preferred an interim or probationary period . I also would have liked to see him announce himself and give a little spiel about his vision.

I am still glad that Colin departed even if new situation is not perfect. Just s shame it took so long . Colin not only screwed up gov contract but more importantly wasted a year telling us busy busy busy when in fact we were doing nothing other than watch the completion increase and any advantage being lost.

It is a xxxx show. However the portfolio is good and with the right management we could still get somewhere. Now people are used to using lft..one would hope selling any type has become easier

Immediate increase in capacity..and even a couple of non COVID products to develop for life after covid

Ebb - the gov bought a shed load recently.

It does not matter for odx as they blew their contract good and proper.
They need self test approval and to sort their sales team out for all products. Hopefully the new guy will look to the latter.

Benny..I should be flattered as if you only post twice a day I must often be your only subject...eg yesterday..I don't know how accurate it is as I often skim past your posts as I know it will have nothing to do with odx itself.

So out of curious interest ..why don't you ever post something that refutes what twatcher says or strike a dialogue with him about odx.

Why spend your time worrying about him and not in the share you are supposedly invested in ? If he has got it wrong let him and the rest of us know how and why .

and I am not being malicious either..I just don't get it.
