my understanding was that £73m of the contract had not been paid and that if the gov were successful (and the ncyt stated possible but not probable) that the cost of replacement would be £19.8m

so ncyt could potentially gain £73m or lose £19.8m

tbh i am not ecstatic about jag either. but willing to give him the benefit of the doubt - well tbh no point selling at this price might as well wait and see. he cannot be worse than colin (gosh i should not tempt fate like that!)

he certainly is shrewder than colin and i suspect like you he was happy to earn a salary without doing much. the hope is that he aligns his ambition with ODX now that it is a reflection of him. i am in no doubts that he does not care about share holders. if he ever buys shares that will be a strong sign that things will get better.

true dat. There were enough signs in hindsight. I was in denial with director sells and made excuses for them to myself. i was enraged by the disrespect of the tesla tweet and it changed my view on the company totally. i should have got out then but the dream of the contract kept me in. even though it dragged on and on and on i thought colin couldn't blow it. all the "positive" "optimistic " continued discussions etc. guess you can't assume somebody would read before signing a contract.

at 25p - i thought OK there is still a play if they get approval.

boris covid abandonment to save his skin was the one thing that caught me off guard and i believe gutted the SP. was pleased when colin left. unfortunately the new ceo needed to come out introduce himself and show leadership.

no point selling now. the sp will get better (barring any more disasters) but unless covid approvals / sales strategy appear this is only a tin pot company.

my mistakes...my lesson learnt (hopefully)

chris - i thought they had ring fenced any potential liability in the contract dispute? as for cash - surely they don't have to do anything with it. i think people are assuming they are going to blow it on a bad deal.

I felt that with the drop before the results were announced that any bad news might have already been priced in . The results were more or less in line with guidance so assumed that the decimation since Tuesday was down to a) the talk of a potential 50% reduction in covid income and b) the poor presentation by the ceo of word salad before substance.

i think if they didn't know what covid income will be they should have kept quiet and said "difficult to predict". unfortunately i think the CEO has used the rns to cover his arris - if the income this year is poor then he has already got it out . if it is better he will look great. good for him poor for shareholders

the only other thing is the spectator article - but tbh I can't really see that is a big deal. even if there is any substance to it - will anyone really be interested. it would have be better if ncyt had addressed this in rns or presentation.

so i am left scratching my head in disbelief that ncyt is valued at £20m...probably the profit it will make this year.

ummm....a long time ago i joked that he never got the memo - snoozing or playing the violin.

in my view the drop after xmas to 15p was the final straw. the bod realised there was the increasing probability of it being colin or would be all of them. could well be that jag played a blinder and sold his vote for the CEO position.

don't believe it for a minute. the code of a step down allows him to leave without losing face and so he can get another job.

umm back in june - I would have said yes....but how long have we waited and that was throughout the time of having a gov contract and presumably colin doffing his cap- when he did bother to contact them on the pay as you go

tbh i always hoped that the gov would speed up our approvals so we could start making tests for them - kind of you scratch my back etc....well clearly they had another agenda. keep us in reserve if they needed us and palm us off as soon as they dont.

tbh the contract was ridiculously short - remember october was an extension. was it end of april that it initially expired?
colin signs a contract with no minimum fee and a couple of months until expiry. a lawyer should have taken his crayons away
