twatcher - i expect our gold command genius bought in the very early days. he probably bought in the teens and so could still sit in comfort when the terrible results came out on 25/11/21 - so could say as expected and doesn't matter to long term holders.

at 5p he must be under water - probably has not realised that with the massive dilution coming there is little chance of a rise for a long time. the expected incomes in two years time hardly sound like a good dollop of jam - even if they happen. track record suggests dubious anyway

unfortunately odx history of poor sales and contracts seems to have been repeated. they should have been able to get more than £1m - if they were willing to write an impairment value of £3.5m.
they also have gov equipment which can clearly be sold on at a considerable discount,
NCYT would have been my preferred choice as they have their own lft test and a war chest of cash.

i suspect as usual ODX took the path of least resistance / hard work. they know orient gene from the packaging and basically sold the whole thing off for mates rates - maybe a drink included.
it is nice that they focussed on job s for the existing staff. but a) they have already been paid for doing nothing throughout most of 2021 b) not sure they have any security with a chinese firm

Oke - i am not an expert on forward selling but i suspect any selling would sensibly be done just prior to the new shares being admitted so that the buying coincides with the selling settlement date. otherwise one would risk being caught out like the famous NEW case. it is only illegal if you get caught out. the fact that a vote was needed - even though i suspect odx et al didn't count on any resistance - would mean they were really stupid to forward sell so in advance. trading volume does not support any theories of big offloads either.

if the sp drops for any reasonable time below 5p - then i suspect it will get cancelled anyway. odx are going to have to put some work in to pump price above 5p to keep spivs in and also try to ward off the SH resistance and no vote. they probably think the meeting will be enough - but without any meaningful information i think they will struggle. be interesting to see how they respond to some tough questions

it is hard to feel any sympathy for the bod who have shown complete dis respect to shareholders throughout the pandemic.

odx could have put the letter in the public domain. why didn't they? what do they have to hide? why not put the letter in a general announcement before the meeting?

If OSAG are worried that they might fall foul of insider trading - however much i think that is unlikely it is their call. from what they have said it sounds consistent with the way i have observed odx have behaved the last year or so. i am not expecting certain questions to be answered and only a vague threat of "the business cannot continue to run / grow etc"

it is a difficult choice for existing shareholders. i can see both sides of the arguments. the placing is all wrong from start to finish - the mis truths to the breakdown of how the cash will be used. however without the money the business is at risk not least because how much would you trust the existing bod if they fail in their attempts to secure their salaries for the next couple of years

good post earth. i think you only had to watch the adverts to attract military personnel in russia v uk in recent years to see the weakness.
lets hope russia's invading troops are observing diversity quotas..and not mis gendering anyone they threaten ...also .hope there are no insensitive micro aggressive tweets by any armed forces personnel

whilst the west has been chasing its tail in self destruction the rest of the world has watched on and still works on the basis that strength is power. China will be watching closely as it knows that there is even less appetite for resistance should it decide to go for taiwan.

if the gov are not interested in whether people have covid or not then i am not sure about the general public. they won't be testing for work/events etc ..probably not unless they feel bad and even then i suspect a lot will just see how bad they get.

the survival of dam will depend on travel tests and who knows what the future will bring. someone i know runs a test centre i germany and she said she had more positives today than ever

You would have to question anybody selling up at this stage. I am sure some think they are doing a nifty trade and counting on the usual ncyt drop...however I really suspect that at some point soon we will get a re-rate and if you are out you will miss out. 4% is only a beginning ...more to buy...and if the news of a deal / merger hits....well that could be some fireworks.

I would not short. full stop. however i understand you and make no judgement. i am a strong believer in karma and for me it goes against the grain. good luck to you though and i hope you get your money back.
personally i have gone i heavy and long with a stock that hopefully my due diligence is more accurate. i do try to learn with my mistakes.

well since they still "can't" notify whether a transaction is buy or sell - evidence of anything is hard to come by. The more punters are kept i the dark the better

as for far fetched? maybe? but if a market maker had a large order to fill at a certain price for a nice hefty commission - you think they would not do what they could?

they may also quite like having bio invested and coming up with a mutually beneficial deal/merger
