interesting comparisons with NCYT - the difference between the companies during covid is chalk and cheese.
they also have another aggressive competitor who just bought 3% - they have a history of doing this before a deal/ merger / takeover.
why did no one step forward for ODX? the market cap was clearly too rich for what they had to offer - certainly pre ce mark

tbh afterwards one would have thought they could have sold alva for a lot more to another competitor who could actually sell tests

oke - i am not sure there was any forward selling at 10p - too long a window to wait for their placing shares and the trading volume pre/post placing notifications did not support millions of extra shares being sold as far as i saw

however giving the bod a punch on the nose would be satisfying at the very least - maybe even shake them up enough to actually be more productive than raiding the biscuit bin

How many shares /value is needed to prevent placing?

oke - i have always found you to be polite and well reasoned on this board - and i have learned from your posts whether it changed my mind or made me question my own opinions. that is the strength of these boards. tbh you learn more from people having a different view than just an echo chamber.

i did suss out the bod's incompetence earlier but not the deceit. unfortunately i am quite direct and honest and can tend to see people that way until too late. in any case whilst i may have worked stuff out i did not act on it as i guess believe or not i am an optimist.

i would dearly love to see ODX recover and if i ever see signs I will be back in for a trade or long term hold

oke - i am out of odx as i wanted to salvage some little cash...but still watching

I would not part with any more cash on odx having lost a small fortune. I am trying to make up losses elsewhere as at present I do not see any future for odx.

if i had not lost so much - I would have stayed in and supported you. I am not sure it will be successful as I think the bod really needs replacing - along with much of the management. i am not convinced the action group will be able to deal with this issue. however i think it is definitely worth a try - even to give them a kick up the harris

GLA to existing shareholders

some of the MMs probably got a bit caught out with the RNS curve ball yesterday - and the froth first thing this morning on the back of it.
They will probably drop the price to pick up shares they sold yesterday. some will have sold having had a nice trade of 20%

just market mechanics.

the question is why would bio stop at 3%?
They have a plan - whether it be a deal/merger etc - and will presumably need more shares

personally I can't see them being able to afford a hostile takeover - but the game is afoot
expect the sp to be back up to £ 2.20s when the MMs have the shares they need

They have been pretty aggressive in their moves on other companies - so I think it is fair to say that is the opening salvo.

I can't see why they would want to invest in another companies shares - even though NCYT look cheap at not much more than cash and potentially a favourable result in gov dispute.
Their MO would seem to be deals/mergers/acquisitions.
They clearly see value in NCYT's future - along with the incentive scheme targets - it is looking good for holders after a really nervous period

well i suppose one argument is that you are supplying cash to the company by buying from them - if they were doing something with it that would benefit investors in the long term...however they will just fritter it away going on past performance

in reality i would not be surprised if this went below 5p before placing/open offer - unless they are stopped from doing it. seen it a few times before.

ODX have never had more shares either - or until march if placing goes ahead

CE without a covid test factory means little - they clearly realised they cannot sell them for whatever reason

well last i heard they sold their factory to the covid test competition.......so they are not really in that game anymore
not sure that they have much of an advantage over their competitors in the rest of the portfolio to lose - judging by sales?

FWIW i am glad you are pushing for a disruption to the placing - it is scandalous that they said a placing would only take place if growth opportunity and yet they are only planning to use £1.5 m out of a possible £7m from extra dilution - for expanding business

the rest is moving costs - surely should have been covered from sale of alva. not sure how it can cost £1.5m to relocate CD4 and yet they sell the premises for £1m? how does that work?

or working / capital costs which we know means salaries for next year

i think from memory they were there about food intolerance. The did have a poor set up from the photo i saw.

i don't know how effective these trade shows are in terms of bang for buck. I would question the cheap small stands in the basement or somewhere out of the way which is what odx seem to go for - eg also the one in germany last year.

i guess they can't afford better positions - in which case does it just end up being a nice jolly?
