the prospective income on non portfolio products as highlighted by the paid crowd at finncRap is 2 years away.....presumably to keep the gravy train in motion without putting pressure of deadlines.
no proven sales of anything in any market should be a worry - and whats more they don't seem to bother hiding the fact they could not care less anymore

yep..it would seem that the MMs might be keeping the price down to fill large orders. it is why a bit of press speculation and herd attraction might go a long way

i would not be surprised if odx were to buy it off gov and sell to a certain chinese company possibly with a "drink" for someone . the gov have not sold it directly to the chinese but they will get it - and at a good price.

they could not sell a covid test in eu in a pandemic - or at least folded as soon as they got approval. so i agree that odx conquering usa is a bit dreamland to me. i remember colin talking about putting a man on the ground over in usa - jeez

if they have as much of an idea about the sales market - as they did when going for pro use of an lft test...it is not going to be pretty

pretty much as expected from ODX and new CEO who has not even taken the trouble to introduce himself to the shareholders.

This is going to be fun watching them trying to get approval without saying anything - if they say they need cash to survive then they contradict the previous RNS. there is not even any promise of jam tomorrow.

good posts computer. i suspect a lot of cash has been frittered away on wages. the level of staff at alva for a plant that wasn't making and or selling much is beyond belief. i suspect they increased staff expecting to move to phase 2 with gov and being ready. if they had not been able to supply in time there would have been penalties. however they jumped the gun. this is what i suspect they will use as an excuse to cover gov pre producion payment. but it was not covered - only phase 1 work.

they should have cut wally brook adrift along time ago. no added benefit and can't be trusted to tweet on their own after a curry and beer (tesla tweet). the sales team clearly could go for all the difference they make. it really is mind boggling what they pay over 100 permanent staff for?
i would have been happier hearing they had ditched staff until a skeleton crew and keeping alva. not nice for the employees but i suspect the chinese won't be keeping them on for long. so they will no doubt be looking for employment elsewhere soon anyway.

the major thing i have learnt with this odx disaster is that when you are investing in a company - you are investing in not just the product but the management an team. odx on paper should not have failed with very good products. right products at the right time. however the team is terrible from directors to management to sales to pr.

i suspect in this case the past is very good reflection of the possible future. do leopards change their spots ? jag was a failure in previous positions and we have not seen anything to suggest any dramatic change in him. the company does seem less honest , more cut throat and even less caring for shareholders than when colin was in charge.

i agree that bod will be panicking because if they do not get this placing over the line then they have serious cash issues. they have next to no income coming in and although cash burn has been reduced it is still there. the moving costs from alva also seem to be more than they generated from the sale.

if the company has to survive on sales then they are dead in the water

They will find it much harder in the future to place with less of a promise of jam tomorrow. the sexy part of the portfolio is finished. boris will probably announce the end of testing tomorrow . Finncrap can write all they want about the non covid stock in the next key market but they are talking hypothetical incomes in 2 years time not substantiated by previous sales. if they do not raise cash now it will mean their lifestyle (salaries) will be in jeopardy.

I do not believe the placing shares have been forward sold. they would be done just before issue to make sure within settlement date. far too risky to do so far in advance and with a vote needed. also trade volumes do not suggest 100m shares have hit the market.

in addition to not guaranteeing salaries , the failure to secure the placing makes the bod even more of a laughing stock. they might be able to shift some of the blame for failing to sell a test in a pandemic onto the gov - for some people. but not getting a placing over the line would be a disaster for them. be interesting to see if they resign

i agree they are shafting holders... but in reality the real shafting was back in march - when they were saying big things / busy busy with nothing going on and the gov contract with no min running out initially april. they really let shareholders down by not applying for CE as soon as they could and putting all eggs in gov basket

i suspect they weren't as clever as they thought - and certainly they did not expect the anger and resolve of some shareholders.
i have to say i am very intrigued on how it will all turn out - and can look at it totally objectively now that i am no longer in

the rumour was that they were seeking a placement on friday 28th jan - that was confirmed as FACT by rns on 31st jan. by the time we were talking about it - it was a known FACT

oke - in the interest of balance here is my ramblings

from memory they have £2.5m(i am guessing excess means just over in rns speak) and £2m overdraft.
the overdraft could be removed at any time by the bank.

£2.5m is in dispute with gov and therefore should really be ring fenced for prudent accounting. looking at the staffing costs i suspect they will have to pay a good chunk back - i suspect a lot was spent on wages of staff not used in production but having them there ready.

in theory they have £1m from alva - though how much of this will be used for moving costs?

the gov payment is probably a year away in reality - going by other companies in dispute.

we don't know what the new lower cash burn is but i still suspect they are on fumes - despite what they said in several RNS.
I guess next week they will be at pains to tell us...

i do agree that a lower raise could be got away with. i wonder if they had been more honest in the first place if they could have just got away with an open offer and if that would have saved some of the £400k they paying for the privilege?

since i have never played a game on here - my hand has been open for all to see at all times. i could not post positives as the sp crashed from £1 to 5p. that would have been a lie. stupidly i stayed invested because i always believed there was hope until the sale of alva. i suspect i had more faith than a lot of those who ramped to get the sp up and get out

i can understand many might not like what i say ..but i have been honest and more accurate than i wish.
from reading trader's post I would suggest although he had the opposite view to me he too has been transparent. it seemed every time he topped up the next day brought another disaster!

interesting that those who do play games are probably more likely to suspect others of doing so - and those who are honest probably give others the benefit of the doubt.

kate - 2 questions
1) were you in communication with marik? you were dying to tell me his strategy at the time so i guessed you were aware of the pumping whilst he was selling?
2) when you play cards do you play with a full deck ?

mip - i have sold out. i am still curious how this will all pan out. i sincerely hope that whatever happens anyone who lost money gets it back. this has been the most toxic bb i have ever been on but i take no pleasure in anyone losing hard earned cash.

i am not advising anyone to vote yes or no...as i no longer have skin in the game...

if i ever feel there is a case for returning to odx as a trade or lth - i will.
