i thought i remember seeing 2 people in a picture - but might have been mistaken. or 1 could have been the main owner of stand?
it could easily have been perched on someone elses stand as twatcher says - as it did look very dodgy. not what you would expect of a gold standard test company.
difficult to say how much they spent..i would have thought a couple of people would have gone - just to give support or cover loo/lunch breaks. don't know how much pitch would have cost? presumably out there things are expensive.

i suspect whatever was spent will not achieve much if any bang for buck. certainly they have not alluded to any jam

I agree..Alva is a smokescreen to repackage Chinese product and maybe make a few with Chinese bulk materials. Gets gov able to say supporting British and gives Chinese rubbish credibility .

I guess odx thought they had got the golden egg with the gov contract...and did not need to worry about price point. Pity they didn't read contract properly...especially expiry dates.

The thing is they had the test early enough if they had just gone for EU approval at least from the beginning they would have been on the market prob before the Chinese junk.

i thought this a lot previously....however they do seem very clued up at trying to make sure they have salaries for the foreseeable. if they spent as much time and effort on selling something as they have on their salaries - odx would not be in this position.
terrible letter - pretty much as expected. Tomorrow will probably be more of the same waffle until the end and no real time discussing the important stuff- few select questions chosen and swerved. other questions will be promised to be dealt with next week..

personally i think odx has become a binary play. sell up or vote no. i am not in so not giving advice just an opinion
odx is just a company of excuses and blaming everyone/thing else for not actually achieving anything

i suspect the price will drop on friday after this meeting. odx will have a week to try and keep the placing on - but at this moment even if they get the votes i can't see the SP making it viable for the uckets shops to continue.

fincRap will no doubt earner a nice bit of our cash for this debacle anyway.

the first thing that strikes me is the "marik" use of definitions.

"new team" who is new ? jag has failed for year in the division they now want to put all their eggs in with him as head honcho. financial bloke is now 6 months into job....hardly new and had zero effect on supporting the SP

dont need - say we don't need but lets do it anyway
necessary = action to establish funds for salaries as long as possible

surely they would be better putting it out in public domain if they want to attract new members / voters.

I agree with twatcher that you are unlikely to get a specific breakdown - just lumped into yearly accounts .

if there had been a significant contract i am sure they would have RNS as they need some good news to get placing over the line.

the picture from exhibition showed a small poorly positioned plot - very much like the one in germany last year. i suspect that they are probably a waste of money - but odx feel like they are doing something.

they really need a sales team that can get contracts abroad - in whatever key market odx say is this week's choice.

whilst i agree that NCYT need to adapt quickly - the revenue has not gone yet. plenty of opportunities abroad still. Got a friend who works in a test centre in germany . she saw more cases this week than ever before.
since ncyt were not selling LFT in uk - the news this week does not have an impact. I am not sure how much PCR they sell here though and the impact on that?

from memory there were 2/3 antigen tests approved by CTDA. I suspect the next month will see more to support Boris move to paid for tests.
if the gov are not interested in knowing the covid numbers then it will have a knock on effect on people testing themselves. the requirement for work/events will go and most people wont pay for doing it with no symptoms

i suspect many will have a store of free tests left over should they feel unwell - others will just see how bad they get. if they stay at no more than flu symptoms then will they bother?

of course case figures will go down and people will quickly forget the previous fear of catching or spreading it.
lets just hope another variant doesn't come quickly along which is more severe
