Jeremy...I suspect they got wind of Ra sanction and decided to pull Divi there and then. Would be a waste of money paying it out only to have it freezed...especially if they need the cash to service any debt etc etc.

I also think they did not want the sp dropping by 38p...if it had got higher in the day then that would have been one thing...but as it was only around 90p at the time ..that was going to take it back down to 50p...not sure that would have gone down well with shareholders.

Was always a risk that Divi would not be paid..whether notified before date or after...yhere is a war on FFS.

Much better than the price going to 50p and then the Divi gets cancelled anyway

I bought evra and I am quite happy. The way I looked at the 3 ruskie shares is that there was always a chance they would be suspended. If that happened I want to be in rather than out.

In my opinion sooner or later this conflict will be resolved. Touch wood . Can you imagine the re-rate on announcement of peace.

I would not be surprised if evra get the suspension lifted as it seems to have come from LSE rather than gov. If the gov get it wrong against Ra that is one thing...LSE getting it wrong on a company is quite another.

They have cutely worded it as protecting investors but I suspect the company might be seeking legal advice as we speak.

Now if they get unsuspended that will be a big boost to the ruskie trio if shares.

however the fact that pog has pretty much recovered from evraz panic shows demand is very good!

if poly were affected by today's new sanctions they would have been suspended too. however it has dampened buying for a bit.

poly does not have such a link...if it were to be suspended on this new move it would have been done by now.

i suspect people will be diving out of evraz - some pre div date (4.30pm) and some after (tmrw morn) depending on their strategy. When they do I think we will see some flow in here.

tbh out of all the russkie stocks - poly rns was the best and most risk free.

will be games with the SP - should have easily been a 100% today and back to the £1.80 ish we dropped from yesterday .

long term this looks very good - usual disclaimer of war risks....but with half income outside russia and as stated a uk company then it is just a question of waiting. hopefully peace talks soon. war is not being won and only lives lost

agreed.. the west need to make it clear that if war is resolved then sanctions will be lifted.
we need peace talks - recognising crimea and giving 2 areas which are "russian" majority. ukraine has said not interested in nato. save face for russia..peace in ukraine ..escalation of world war overcome etc etc

there is only more pain in the future if russia is driven into china's arms - then you really could be looking at world war 3

crippling russia economy will just send us in to the mother of all global recessions

the war in ukraine has given lots of opportunities in the stock market to make a lot of money.
It is hard to cut the strings with a stock at times...i always fear that as soon as i have sold out the SP will rocket. but it is really difficult to see any sales or news coming out of ODX.

the risk for me had 2 areas

1) suspension of trading in uk
2) assets seized by russia
3) disruption in production
4) ability to sell product

All the above was covered in the great RNS this morning. yesterday was brutal and tested my sanity. today it has been restored and doubled my holding. confirmed that can trade here no problems and that 40%+ of portfolio is safe by not being in russia

the potential reward on this is breathtaking. Hopefully the peace talks will be constructive - I think russia will have to face the facts that it has lost - if not territory wise at the moment certainly in world sentiment.

translated as "lost so much now it is not worth cashing in" or really is not the sharpest tool in box. core business is that they can't sell anything anywhere and will soon struggle to pay directors salaries let alone operating expenses

just looked in and the SP is going in the direction that i predicted...really sorry for existing lth. a lot of us lost a lot of money.

jeez...if russia goes into financial melt down there is going to be a global crash like you won't believe. it has a knock on effect as we are all interrelated. how much losses are BP/shell/ even nike etc going to incur?

at some point either russia has to give in more or the west will need to push ukraine into accepting some sort of peace deal
