i suspect that if another variant comes out that we do need to start mass testing in the uk on a regular basis - the gov will no doubt say that the public will have to pay if those prices remain.

odx should have gone for CE much earlier and filled the paperwork in properly - produced data needed etc..instead of getting "distracted" with usa (pro test !!!!) . or better still negotiated a better contract with the gov eg min contract amount for being on standby if they were not going to be used.

i find it hard to compute that a diagnostic company use an excuse of being distracted to justify not selling 3 types of test. they sold practically no covid tests in a pandemic and now say it distracted them from selling 2 other types of test that they never had much of a sales history anyway.
30 years is a long time for a company not to establish enough sales to run the business

really? it seems pretty hard to get the sack as a director at odx.
they have already stated they would be willing to dispose of it for nothing - so should they follow through with this it would hardly be a sackable offence. FWIW i think they will sell it but i am not sure they will get a premium figure as everyone knows their position

odx have said 5-10 companies have shown an interest in the data room. does not mean they will make an offer. ODX have already planned for up to 4 months for sale - so there it is possibly not going to be as easy as some might think.

if that number is correct then it would seem that odx would have to be stupid not to sell it for even a neglible amount...however that does not mean they will get anywhere near what they spent on it. we are hurtling towards a recession and it is a buyers market.

true dat. if theY wanted to "protect" investors by suspending there is a lot of tickers on AIM that would have been more appropriate. Would have saved a lot of PI a lot of money and made some lifestyle company directors have to actually work for a living

Choo Choo - I think getting £4 m for a business losing £300k a month is going to be a tall order. Anyone knows that if odx can't sell in 4 months they will have to give it away. The longer it takes the more desperate odx will get

There is no current cash for investment in USA..the acing is to fund cd4 divestment and pay jags wages / laundry bill..it will have to come from open offer..only problem is that anyone willing to take a chance..and massive dilution coming can buy cheaper on open market

trader - and i would have thought NCYT have a much stronger case. the gov took delivery of the goods and then didn't pay. ncyt offered to sort out anything the gov werent happy with.

odx claimed a pre production payment when they did not produce anything. personally i think they prob messed up by preparing for phase 2 when they had not been given the go ahead. the contract was very specific on what pre production payment could be used for

oke - I agree that they should have pulled the plug when selling alva. guess they thought it might be more "jam tomorrow" to keep SH interested. however when original placing was put a stop to they realised they really could not afford it anymore

i do wonder what £300k per month is spent on? is Any of it wages?
hard to see what they can spend that much on for a part of the business that ultimately sells very little? consumables? running machinery costs?

i know how many were overjoyed at reporting how many staff ODX were employing as if this would extrapolate to revenue....but it seems to have killed the company

i suspect dam are ultimately retail...they buy cheap and sell with profit. doubt they want to be involved on the production side - except for a jolly to the factory and some of colins buckfast

it is weird - the MMs do seem to have some ridiculously huge spreads on this share - which kills any momentum upwards.

joe - it is testing times indeed...and the longer the ukrainian situation goes on the more chance of an economical meltdown. sanctions will hurt the west as well as russia. All the more reason that ODX need to get their stuff together - and relatively quickly.
