atan - i still think they are trying to write off capitalised expenses for cd4 completely rather than depreciate - which they would do if it was continuing. the issue is that it was still trading from mar 31 - August

currently 2.63p - my prediction for sp at end of week was 2.6p

they have given the clue in a previous rns - question is whether the auditors will let them get away with it.
they have until end of september - must be done by then or big trouble. question is how close to it they will sail?

my guess is that the figures are not pretty and so they want to offload some expenses from CD4 to offset stuff. these expenses would not be written off if cd4 was still an ongoing division.

atan - in the normal scheme of things i would agree with you that a 25% drop is not unrealistic...however i don't think there will be may selling....so could see 2.5p then a slight bounce up to 2.6p.

the LTH left in have probably peanuts left of their original investment so might as well let it ride...besides if they were going to sell they would have done so by now. i suspect they will cling on to a bit of jam spread by the company.

recent traders like fakey2..will think it will eventually go back up to 3.5p if they continue to pump so won't want to sell at a loss.

i predict the new pump will be the great african hope...£4m blah blah..even though something very schonky about the whole thing

dsaf - maybe point out that saving money from the loss making divisions is not revenue - just means you stopped losing money on a product you are supposed to make money on

the 12p figure has been come up by bod to drive sp up by the gullible..fueled by finnCrap mysteriously coming up with the same figure..oh hold on they are paid to pump the price and deliver placings - no conflict of interest with being independent there!!!

if the news is as expected- nothing tangible in terms of increased future FT sales - then I will guess could go down to 2.5p and bounce a little bit to 2.6p

we know the revenue figures but this will hopefully give an insight to the costs and therefore profit

a lot will depend on how they dress up the jam.

dr - i suspect the decisions by the people at dhsc are made very slowly - combination of bureaucracy, paperwork and people with no interest in it one way or the other. so i suspect the speed may be largely down to inertia rather than intent.

if dhsc lose then it is not out of anyone there's pocket and the plus is that they are seen to be being "robust" with contracts which they have been heavily criticised with the billions wasted on sub standard gear. they have no chance getting anything back from chinese or turkish companies but can hit small home grown ones easily.

to go for the whole amount is strange - considering they had been using products.
of course ncyt have tried to be reasonable because they want future contracts.

i would still think ncyt would win - however i wish the survival of the company was so binary dependent on the decision

i don't know anything about the contract - but if it is based on the SP and the SP hit the mark then i would suspect it might be difficult to get any clawback. it would be great to see it held back though until resolution!

no it won't last for ever - if they have no coherent future plan. but what it would do is help halt the current slide. we are in desperate need of the kiss of life

i have changed my mind - and think they should start buying. when i thought they could survive a possible 100% loss in dispute and still have cash - i thought they needed to be prudent....now they risk going under i feel they need to speculate to get to safety.

of course they need to spend wisely - and there is the rub

assuming the rumour of a suspension is incorrect. i don't think the whole thing will crash. though i do think there is potential for the sp to be battered further towards 2.5p

we will see poor figures on FT sales...but the company will lace it up with promise of jam tomorrow....usa is a big market blah blah....we have stopped everything that was loss making (eg anything else they have focused on selling in the last two years) and can now concentrate on "not" selling one product only etc etc. unfortunately the market won't buy it

the gang who pump without any coherent argument will latch on to the jam....and reiterate how they have saved £000s - not really understanding that is not the same as revenue and should never have been loss making in the first place! if the company were any good

the bod need the cash cow to continue.....those stuck in want to try and recover their "paper" losses but in reality nobody new is buying. the portfolio is no longer glamorous and going into a recession - people are not going to risk money in a company who could not sell a test in a pandemic. not when there other much better companies at distressed prices.

this will be a death by a thousand cuts unless the company can learn new tricks - eg sell something other than its crown jewels. the time left determined by gov dispute and mysterious curious kenya trial results.
