Atan - i think what also gets missed, is that odx would have had to pay the pre production payment back anyway. it was supposed to be paid back via profits on tests produced

so the argument that somehow they produced nothing and are entitled to this now free (tax payers) money for nothing is null and void. they need to pay it back and as there was no profits to write it off against - it will need to be cash back

i still think the gov will enjoy being seen to pursue companies for money splashed out during the pandemic. it is just unfortunate that again the only ones suffering being pursued are the british companies - as they have power over them. the real culprits seem to be foreign (brown envelope) agents - where the gov have no chance (or desire?) to look into.

if odx can get away with a negotiated deal - of say half..that would be a great result,

unfortunately the gov now know they now have cash in bank to pay it back.

unfortunately the irony is that by having cash the gov may be more willing to get it back than if it had bankrupted the company

odx had very little income - having "focussed " on selling a test in a pandemic which they were unable to do.

despite tweets of "big things coming" and "busy busy"..we know they were doing squat didley...nothing much on covid tests or anything else

they had all the equipment and staff ready and sat unused so helped out someone who did have a proper contract....for pin money.

As it turned out having set up the machinery and premises - they then sold it off at a loss to a competitor. ..even as they were feeding us BS on the eurpean approvals and jam tomorrow in that market

agreed. they are either

a) to proud to admit they got it horribly wrong - prob angry that people pointed out the issues but they did not listen

b) think that because it has gone down it will inevitably go up again - not realising the circumstances are so different now that it does not logically follow

c) can't be bothered selling at a huge loss

d) think that averaging down - or following good money after bad will mean they can get out easier..especially if they can hoodwink newbies into buying. again the issue is that can you average down to a figure where you can get out with profit? bearing in mind the placing shares waiting to be dumped above 4p

i still have not seen one coherent post on why to put money in to odx shares

i have seen lots of signs of spamming board to hide coherent criticism or getting these posts deleted. also some really idiotic questions meant to suggest a point

compare with those who chase others around the board.....reacting generally within 20 mins of EVERY post by their targets. They clearly are on here all the time.

Easychair - totally disagree. NCYT provided product which the gov did not want to pay for. However the product passed the CTDA tests - so there was nothing wrong with it.

you can't just decide not to pay for something. NCYT are willing to go to court over it. they can't talk about it because of NDA

odx on the other hand signed a contract they did not understand. It ran out and they realised this only a month later. the contract stated that the pre production payment could not be used to improve the facilities but only be used for gov production. the problem is that they never produced anything.

i understand why they did what they did - hire a lot of staff etc because if it had moved to the next phase and they could not fulfil the production stated they would have been heavily penalised. if the contract had progressed it was the right thing to do. however unfortunately for odx it did not. you cannot be entitled to a pre production payment if you never produce anything. it is there in the title.

yes the government was morally wrong. but ultimately odx did not do good contract. they allowed themselves to be used. the contract allowed the gov to have them on standby and in reserve with no financial compensation whatsoever. odx got excited by a huge contract without seemingly reading the small print.

actually i suspect the directors who sold at the top might have had a better clue than calamity colin who got his crayons out to sign the contract

will ODX be willing to go to court - that we don't know. personally i don't think they will.

They have a court date with ncyt who at least have a stronger case than odx.

I think the gov would be happy of the publicity that they are chasing companies for money back.makes them look like they care. When in fact the billions lost were to dodgy Chinese companies etc

Odx won't want court as they could end up with more costs to pay..eating into cash.

As I said earlier...think no news is not good news in this case

someone wanted a quote for £6k or the person on here who wanted one for £5k but as going to nt...had to split into smaller chunks. the commission looks to be the same £12 each transaction

4 buys of £2k -£3k

that is not the sign of someone knowing "big" things are coming.

Does not matter what mediation come up with - both parties have to agree or it has to realistically go to court.

mediation does not take long - often just a day. because both parties already know each others arguments. so mediation just comes up with a compromise that they think is fair and throws it out.

this looks like court. my bet is that odx will prob wait until they have formal notification from gov and then issue an RNS

Bunsen - there is just no liquidity in the share. you can verify this by the number of daily trades having been below 10 for a couple of weeks. i suspect nobody wants to buy and those holding are not going to sell at such a huge loss and think it is worth hanging on just in case. back of the drawer strategy

no news is expected as far as i can tell.

there was a mediation date scheduled for end of April. As far as I know these tend to be over quite short period. both parties have already been to-ing and fro-ing for a lengthy period and so it is just someone trying to knock heads together. it is either going to happen relatively quickly or you look to a court date.

my suspicion is that the next news on that front might be a court case date from the government. they want their (or should i say tax payers ) cash back.

Having read the contract I don't think odx have a strong case - and the fact that they did not until after the contract expiry - shows a lack of understanding

lack of an update from April's meet is not good news in my opinion

Raspberry - again whether i have skin or not in the game does not change the company prospects

no I don't have any shares and will not be buying any unless there is a drastic change in prospects - which i have seen no evidence of coming

but it is another well used tactic - to try and dismiss any legitimate concerns.

however i doubt any newbies will be stupid enough to be fooled by it

if they are then they will be in good company with some on here

1) too much pride to admit you were wrong all along - whilst others were telling you

2) thinking that it has come down so will eventually go back up

3) thinking that you have to get your money back via the share you lost it in....rather than just cutting your loss and trying something else. averaging down just means good money after bad

Boom....100% right. The share is duff..and has lost anybody holding money.

Unfortunately there are posters on here who are being naughty ...try to provoke on any thread that criticises the share..so they can get it removed.

They have no counter argument.

I received a lot of criticism for calling DA the "salad man" and that there was no coherent forward plan.

some tried to imply i was therefore not holding shares

it seems that the general consensus was that i was right after all.

i am still in for the dispute result - but will be out on that. company has good science but clearly no idea how to market it
