Vent..it is AIM so any rise will get sold into. Even if just by those expecting a drop and so can buy back cheaper. With the dispute over the market cap should reflect the cash in bank ..whatever it is.

I have always said that if things stay as they are then I would sell up. Obviously we are prob best part of a year away ..imho. so things could change.

If the YG offer does get over the line...then it should hopefully give an indication of if the company has changed..in time for the dispute settlement.

If it hasn't ..then as I said I will be out

tbh..i have no clue. there are rather a lot of small PI to get on board. Not such an easy task

i suspect many might not be happy with the offer - especially if they paid top dollar for their shares. They may not be realistic with what they value the company at.

I would not be surprised if YG did not get the required votes and the bod of YG had to come out and say the alternative is the company folds. is a massive placing even feasible at the current SP with this bod? the dilution would be enormous and for what? it seems any cash would be poorly used by existing management.

if i were YG holder I would prob sell at a price near the offer and buy NCYT. If the product is that good then they have more hope of monetising with NCYT (hopefully) than current CEO.

I cant see another increased offer for the company from similar sized companies to NCYT . it takes time for DD etc and if any other party had been interested and discussing at the same time then NCYT bid has clearly seen them off.

I suspect many don't have the free cash that NCYT have.

Harchris - i think i have made it very clear why i am still in and have purchased more - even though being significantly in the red overall. For me it rests on the court case outcome and i think the probability that we will have higher SP on conclusion one way or another. At this market cap even a compromise should result in a higher SP. only an outright loss is the worry.

the YG offer has certainly put the cat among the pigeons - i still am getting my head around it.

tbh i am glad the sp dropped as a) gives time to evaluate b) if the offer is not taken up the drop has already been made. though i am sure there would be another drop on any announcement as usual with AIM but it should recover swiftly as we are valued only slightly higher than we were prior to the rns...if that makes sense.

At the moment I would see an increase in SP if/when the offer is taken up.

As far as selling - once the covid dispute is over and any resultant change in SP - i can't really see much incentive to continue to hold. Not with this management and an even worse addition from YG.

The worry with ncyt is that they are clearly not a very good judge of management skills..as seen from salad man.

i just hope they don't think oh well he is here ...we are paying him...lets use him..

To be honest I don't mind the drop. Gives me time to research and see if this new development is really the start of a turnaround..and worth putting more money in.

Ncyt have done their bit..assuming the dd is robust.

The market will do what it does. Can't blame ncyt in this case.

The real question is if this is a good move.?..what exactly we are getting and what the forward plan is.

Who is going to be managing things..and does their competence match what is needed to make significant profit

Dav...it did worry me the emphasis of how many employees they have. They clearly are paying too much in wages for what they earn..

Covid lft tests are still being sent out to selected members of the general public.

however we need to forget covid - other than the dispute.

ncyt have talked long enough about a post covid portfolio and monetising it.

the new stuff from YG looks good in my superficial look at the company due to current lack of time- I don't know how easy it would be for a good company to monetise ? - let alone NCYT?

what is worrying is that YG got into such a financial mess..is it more difficult to monetise the product than expected? or are their management absolutely hopeless?

i hope ncyt have got a plan to exploit the new portfolio and not intending to carry on the same as they have been the last 18 months

CEO of YG being put on ncyt board. From what I can see they are another self serving master of SH value destruction and and have bankrupted the company.

Can't see any positives to having them and we will be paying a fat wage for more incompetence

well there are 3 outcomes as far as i see it. a) ncyt win b) gov win c) a compromise either pre court or via judge.

the risk is the gov win and pretty much busting the company.

the other two will result in an increase in SP.

so the issue is what probability on each scenario. personally i think NCYT have a strong case purely on CTDA approval. nothing wrong with the product itself. of course i have not seen the contract - but i suspect it does not enable the gov to change their mind after having placed and received the order.

i have said for a long time that ncyt need to improve their business model so that should they lose and have to pay the cash back - they are still a viable and profitable company that can survive

one would hope that the acquisition of YG is the start of this new model.

This wasn't a pump and dump because it was actual news. From the company .and a defo offer for YG.

A pump and dump is where somewhere fuels rumours and creates froth..and are normally selling as they help pump the price up.

I suspect the drop has occurred because a) some are happy with a 20-30% gain in current market and b) some may fear that the required shareholder votes might not be achieved.

As others have suggested the positives are that a) ncyt are finally showing some ambition and planning and b) they are confident in spending the money

If the buyout actually goes through I would suspect a lift in sp again.

If I am honest I still have some doubts on the purchase being worth the cash..just because YG sh paid more does not mean it is worth more. The company seems a complete basket case..worse than ncyt. Time will tell if the new portfolio could be monetized by ncyt.

I am watching the sp with a view for a trade..and if it drops down below 40p I will go for it.
