I have always envisaged Sean as a very gentle, decent and meticulous man. He was extremely generous here with his time and skills.
His Family are lucky to have such a decent, honest man as their figurehead and I wish him a very happy retirement with his wife and new ****er spaniel. Furthermore, I 100% believe that he has not sold a share, but will do as he has told us and lighten up his position in March /April (hopefully for him and us at a much higher price) in order to derisk as his wife retires.
Having said that, and genuinely meant it, we have to accept that we are all here to:
1.Make money
2.Learn
These are the two overiding factors, though hopefully we can have a laugh or two on the way. BUT because there is money involved-sometimes considerable sums-things can get heated and quite nasty when things go against us. Bottom line if you want to be on these Boards grow a thick skin. Most of us have been berated for good and bad reasons, but just get on with it.
I am afraid Sean was probably to gentle and kind a sole for the Board of a share that creates regular heart palpitations, anger, angst and on the right days joy. I believe Shaun has made the right decision to leave-he will be missed, but is better off without the stress.
